Drug
What is drug??? A drug is any substance, solid, liquid or gas, that brings physical and psychological changes in bodies.

Brain
drugs affect the brain chemicals called neurotransmitters. These are the chemicals that control the flow of information within the brain between the neurons or brain cells. Neurotransmitters also alter people's moods and feelings. Different drugs can disturb the flow of information .

Heart
When drugs are taken and enter the bloodstream the heart pumps blood containing the drug to the brain where it will affect how people feel. Drugs can also affect on the heart directly. It can weaken the heart's ability to pump blood and increase the level of heart failure.

Leaver
The liver breaks down or alters the chemical structure of drugs, gradually neutralizing the affects of the drug after the long time drug damage the leaver.

Lungs
the lungs provide the oxygen directly and very effectively to the body, anything that is inhaled similarly enters the blood and ultimately the brain very quickly. The drugs interact with the gas exchange that happens in our lungs, making it more difficult for our lung tissue to exchange gases and reducing the ability of the lungs to diffuse oxygen.

Nervous System
The nervous system is made up of nerves, the spinal cord and the brain. The nerves control everything we do; they carry messages that tell us to move, to breathe, to feel and to think. Drugs confuse the transmitters and speed up or slow down the transmitters.

Types
1. Stimulants: Drug highs 2. Depressants: Drug lows 3. Narcotics: Pain relive 4. Hallucinogens: Psychedelic drugs

Stimulants: Drug highs


Drug effect on the central nervous system , causing a rise in heart rate, b.p and mscular tension.

Sub type of stimulants:


1.caffeine 2.Amphetamines 3.Cocaine

Depressants :Drug low


Drug that slow down the nervous system, speech become slurred and muscle become disjointed and make the motion difficult.

Sub types of depressants :


1.Alcohaol 2.Barbitrates 3.Rohypnol

Narcotics: pain relieving and anxiety


Drug that increase relaxation and pain anxiety

Sub types of narcotics:


1.Morphine 2.Heroin

Hallucinogens: psychedelic
Drug that is capable of producing hallucination or changes in the perceptual process.

Sub types of hallucinogens:


1.Marijuana 2.Hashish 3.MDMA and LSD

State of consciousness
Psychoactive drugs(drug highs) psychoactive drugs, lead to altered state of consciousness. Addictive drugs(drug low) drug produce biological and phychological dependence in the user and withdrawal from them leads to a craving for the drug.
