Performance characteristics. Production process Specification are means of Communicating specific product description. Developing product consistency. Negotiating bids & Contracts.

SPECIFICATION

A precise statement of a set of requirements to be satisfied by a material, product, system, or service that indicates the procedures for determining whether each of the requirements is satisfied. Requirement must be met for specification to be satisfied. Specification include more specific information describing exact characteristics & performance levels that must be met.

Minimums

Tolerances describe the acceptable range of variation from specification. A Minimums is the least or lowest acceptable value for any given parameters or dimension.
