Introduction
Wireless Sensor Network mainly consists of large number of sensors nodes.

These nodes are self-organize Low power Limited memory Low communication Bandwidth

Single or Multi-hop communication cooperative sensing, collection

Research challenges
Wireless sensor networks are used for remote monitoring and control application and they are application specific WSN have following operational challenges 1. Energy constraints 2. Limited storage and Computations 3. Scalability to a large number of sensor nodes 4. Synchronization 5. Low Bandwidth and high error rates

Need of Bandwidth Management

Wireless Sensor nodes have unique capability of transmission at different power levels With variation in transmission power, trade off exists between number of hops and overall Communication bandwidth available to individual nodes. Real time applications require guarantees in terms of throughput and end to end delay

As traffic introduced into the network is in the form of events, may cause congestion and leads to inefficient resource utilization [ Bandwidth ]

State-of-art

Research Goals
Design and propose a mechanism for dynamic allocation of available bandwidth with maximum utilization in WSN when nodes are mobile with following characteristics 1. Minimum delay and 2. Increase in energy efficiency

Milestones
WSN and state of the art in BWM Traffic analysis with mobility of nodes Design of analytical model Design of BWM framework and verify result with simulator

Expected outcome
Better solution to utilize available bandwidth when node density increases Increased energy efficiency in dynamic route allocation New direction to Cross layer design [ MAC + Network] Heterogeneous platform for WSN

Thank you!!
