The desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes Who is Philanthropist? A philanthropist is a person who gives money or gifts to charities, or helps needy people in other ways. Famous examples include Andrew Carnegie & Bill & Melinda Gates
Social obligation: The obligation of business to meet its economic & legal responsibilities & no more
Social responsibility: A firms obligation beyond that required by law & economies, to pursue long-term goals that are beneficial to society
Social responsiveness: The ability of a firm to adapt to changing societal conditions
