As the Geological Factor Endowments are not abundant, the emphasis has been on Agriculture, Manufacturing and Services, leveraging the very best of Human Resources.

SOCIO-CULTURE Languages: English is the language for national, political, and commercial communication although Hindi is the National Language which about 60% can use. There are 14 other official languages, mostly regional. Religions: Hindu 80%, Muslim 13.4%, Christian 2.3%, Sikh 1.9%, Other 2.4%. More than 30 Ethnic Groups. Aesthetics: Paramount respect for all forms of Fine Arts, specially 8 Classical forms of Dance, 6 variations of Drama, 3 Classical styles of Music, 14 schools of Painting many types of Sculpture, Architecture, Handicrafts, Poetry, Literature & Cinema. Chess grandmasters are many with the reigning World Championship. Values & Attributes: Regard & Care for elders, strong family bonding, gender equanimity, God fearing, Trustworthiness, obedience to Parents at any age, Sanctity of Marriage, Religious Tolerance, Yielding for Harmony.

Social Organisation: Metros have Nuclear Families and villages have Joint Families, run by a Patriarch. Societies are not communal, but cosmopolitan. Material Culture: Predominantly nonmaterialistic, fairplay in transactions, a strong basis for Consumerism and a humble lifestyle.
