The Cooperative Agreement between DeKalb County and Perimeter CID signed on June 14, 1999 enabled Perimeter CID to acquire over $254 million dollars of federal and state funding. However, the City of Dunwoody wants to take the Perimeter CID away from the entire county of DeKalb, causing the property owners taxes to go up and land value to go down. Is this fair and/or Constitutional? DeKalb property owners will pay this money for the next 25-30 years (bonds) on their property taxes.

Unhappy Taxpayer and Voter requested a physical health assessment of all four landfill in South DeKalb particularly Advance Disposal, Scales, and BFI Waste Systems. Thanks to Senator Johnny Isakson, Governor Sonny Perdue and CDC Director Julie Louise Gerberding, the health consultation was completed in February 2007. The 4.9 million dollars was allocated in March 2007 the largest amount of money from the Solid Waste Trust Fund in Georgias history.
