Highlighted Achievements
Kristen Rutledge is a native Washingtonian, a graduate of H.D. Woodson High School. She earned her bachelors degree in Computer !nformation S"stems in #$%$ and continued her studies in the &'( program at the )niversit" of &ar"land * )niversit" College. Since the mid*#$$+s, Kristen has been an active member of the DC Chapter. She served abl" on numerous committees at the chapter, local and regional levels. ,urthermore, she has been elected to numerous positions. Kristen served as chapter president from -+## * -+#.. During her tenure, the chapter /on the -+#- 0arge Chapter of the 1ear from the 2ational 'lac3 College (lumni Hall of ,ame. Supported the chapters effort to donated over 45++,+++ to the annual fund campaign for the universit".

She earned her &asters in 7rgani8ational Development from 'o/ie State )niversit" in #$$.. ,elicias involvement /ith the DC Chapter began in #$$+ /here she and other recent graduates 9uic3l" became active in communit" service, fundraising, student recruitment and chapter socials. During the mid*$+s ,elicia served as the chair of the chapters annual 'oat Ride fundraiser. !n -++5, ,elicia became the first female to serve as the chair of the 'oard of Directors. Darr"l ,oster, born in 2e/ar3, 2e/ ?erse" but raised in (tlanta, Georgia is a -++5 graduate of the College of 6ngineering /ith a degree in Computer Science. Since ?une -++5, Darr"l has been an active member of the chapter motivated b" our seasoned (ggies to ta3e ris3s and hone his leadership s3ills. He served on communit" service committees, student recruitment and fundraising. !n -++@, he became the chapter Areasurer, then the "oungest member of his eBecutive board. (fter completing a term as treasurer he served as a &ember*at*0arge on the 'oard of Directors until returning -+## as the chapters Chaplain. Aoda", Darr"l is a committed member of the DC Chapter encouraging (ggies of all ages to become more involved /ith the chapter and as donors to the universit".

'orn in raised in the District of Columbia he eBcelled in math and athletics /hich led him to 2C ( A on a baseball scholarship. A? earned his bachelors <#$%#> and masters <#$%.> degrees in 6lectrical 6ngineering /ith support from the G6& ,oundation. His published thesis is entitledE CMethods of Depositing Insulating Films on III-V Semiconductors for Device Applications. Since returning to the District, A? has been an active member of the chapter serving on nearl" ever" chapter committee and board of directors. He is also the chapters point person for both our C(dopt*a* High/a"D and &ar"land (ggie tags proFects. 2ationall", A? has been honored /ith the 1oung (lumnus (/ard, served as ;arliamentarian, chaired the Constitution and '"*la/s committee and is a member numerous advisor" committees for the College of 6ngineering.

( graduate from 2orth Carolina ( A in #$G. /ith degrees in Chemistr" and &athematics entered the (ir ,orce and served abl" for -@ distinguished "ears. )pon retiring from the (ir ,orce, Col. &c6lveen /or3ed as a Student (ffairs (dministrator at the George Washington )niversit". 6ven after retiring a second time, he served in various positions at ,ort ,oote 'aptist Church. &c6lveens commitment to service /as developed /hile a student at ( A and developed into active leadership at the local, regional and national levels. ,or man" "ears, &c6lveen served as class reunion coordinator for the d"namic class of #$G.. Col. ;arsons graduated from ( A /ith a degree in (ccounting in #$@$. He is also a graduate of the (rm"s Command Staff College and :irginia Common/ealth )niversit". ,or -5 "ears, 0t. Col. ;arsons served his countr" /orld/ide. 0ocall", ;arsons has served as a member and chairperson of numerous chapter committees. During his senior "ear, he met Ruth Carter /hom he married in #$G@ upon her graduation from ( A. 7liver served as a proFect engineerHmanager for the :eterans (dministration, )S (rm" Corps of 6ngineers in government and private service /orld/ide.
