Note: Floor height = 3.7 m Material Properties & Loading Concrete properties E c = 24821 MPa, =0.2 Cracking effects by stiffness reduction with factor 0.5 and 0.8 for slabs and columns respectively Super imposed dead load = 1.0 kPa Uniform live load = 4.8 kPa
Structural Modeling Using SAP2000 program Using 4 nodes and 6 DOF per node shell elements of different thicknesses to model both slabs and band beams Mesh size for the structure in case 1-3 was 0.15x0.15 m Mesh size for structure in case 4 was 0.25x.25 m
