POWER ELECTRONIC PROJECTS
Three phase inverter and converters, Buck Boost Converter Matrix Converter, Inverter and converter topologies, Fuzzy based control of Electric Drives, Optimal design of Electrical Machines, BLDC and SR motor Drives.
ABOUT THE PROJECT Our project is a effective frequency / signal jammer for security and protection system with the features like
1. FREQUENCY JAMMER
This is used to avoid bomb explosions which is made through remote operations.
2. METAL DETECTION
3. COLLISION AVOIDANCE JAMMER:
Jammer is a device used in electronic warfare to inhibit or halt the transmission of signals . Signal jammers used for the purpose of jamming the signals in certain locations. For example, VIP protection, bomb squads,anti- terror units, hospitals, etc. METAL/BOMB DETECTION: The detector that gives the signal when it detects the presence of metal is known as metal detector. If it detects the unwanted/hazardous metal alarm can be made as the security policy of the system.
COLLISION AVOIDANCE: The systems, which detects any obstacle within the particular range are known as obstacle detection system. Here it will detect any obstacles in front of the vehicles and if found it will stop or slow down the vehicle based on our requirement. In our project we are using IR sensor to detect the obstacle.
In our project we are using inductive proximity sensor to detect the metal. Application areas of metal detecting technology include security inspection at airports, government buildings & other public places.
SPECIAL FEATURES & POWERS OF THE PROJECT Vehicle model with movement of Forward & Reverse Obstacle sensing and collision avoidance. Metal detection & Alarm Microcontroller - FLASH & EEPROM Mechanical model for operations Stepper motor & stepper power supply board Optocoupler with stepper driver board Sensors - Metal detection & Obstacle Power source RF Frequency RF receiver module-433.92 Mhz RF transmitter module-433.92 Mhz POWER SUPPLY UNIT Compatible with MCS-51 TM products 4K Bytes of In-system Reprogrammable Flash Memory- Endurance 1000 Write / Erase cycles Fully Static operation : 0 Hz to 24 MHz Three-level program memory lock 128 * 8 bit Internal RAM 32 Programmable I/o Lines Two 16-bit Timer / Counters Six Interrupt sources Programmable serial channel Low-power idle and Power-down Modes MICROCONTROLLER FEATURES CIRCUIT DIAGRAM SIGNAL JAMMER FEATURES Jamming all frequency signals
METAL DETECTOR When ferrous & non ferrous material come closer to the proximity sensor it senses & produces an output signal. It has three terminals Supply Ground Output PRINCIPLE: The dc supply is used to operate a hartley oscillator in the sensing head. The high frequency signal developed in the oscillator is fed into the coil.As a result magnetic field is produced in the area immediately adjacent to the the sensing head. If any material come within this magnetic field, the oscillator circuit will be loaded & the amplitude of the oscillator will drop. This drop in amplitude is the output of the detector. In general there are two types of proximity sensors Inductive proximity sensor Magnetic proximity sensor Types of inductive proximity sensor NPN proximity sensor PNP proximity sensor NPN proximity sensor When no metal is approaching the sensors its outputs will be high. When a metal approaches the sensor its output will be low. SPECIFICATIONS Sensing distance-10 mm Sensing speed- 200 Hz
COLLISION AVOIDANCE Collision can be avoided by detecting the obstacle in front of the vehicle
The system, which detect any obstacle within a particular range, are known as obstacle detection system
IRSensor:
IR Sensor comprises of IR Emitter & IR Detector.
IR Sensor work by sending out a beam of IR light and then computing the distance to any near by objects from the characteristics of the returned signal.
We use simple IR sensor essentially just an IR LED & IR photodiode.
STEPPER DRIVER LOGIC The Stepper driver logic consist of buffer,opto-coupler,predriver and driver. BUFFER: Buffer interfaces Microcontroller with high level circuits. OPTO-COUPLER: It consists of opto-emitter and phototransistor. It is mainly used for backup protection. PRE-DRIVER: Couple the TIP 122 to the opto-coupler. We use the driver SL100 to boost the current level. DRIVER: Amplify the current . Amplifies the 50mA current to 2A.
STEPPER MOTOR A Typical single axis stepper motor consists of a stepper controller,a motor drive, a motor and a power supply.
A stepper is typically commanded by two digital inputs.
A digital pulse train and a direction bit.
The frequency of the pulse train controls the velocity of the motor.
The direction signal determines in which direction the motor will rotate.
In our project two stepper motors are used. One for Forward and Reverse movement, another for right & left movement.
Based on the command given to the the Microcontroller, the vehicle does its operation.
CONCLUSION Signal jammer can be used in any field where the signals have to be necessarily jammed in order to avoid undesirable effectsBut it should not be misused in such a way to affect others privacy Our project holds good if it is used for constructive purposes and in the fields where it is desirable In future as a further development of the same process, various new features can be implemented
