Our strategies
Loan: Dont bound yourself from money constraints. If you are in profit
you go for loan but if you think you will loose you raise money by issuing
shares.
Usage of superior materials: avoid using superior material will increase
cost keep It to 10-15% at most.
Reduce cost of production: To increase operating margin reduce cost of
production.
Sell more at lower prices: Your increased demand will result in decreased
demand of others.
Use of TQM and best practice training: it will increase cost but on the
other hand it will also increase the number of pairs produced. At the end
does more good than bad.
Build capacity : you cant win without building the excess capacity only
thing that can win you this game.
Get real and avoid increase in wages: they will not come outside to protest
so reduce it and decrease cost of production.

Corporate citizenship: It will only result in higher costs avoid it. It increases
image rating but not enough to be tempted.
Celebrities: buy them to a extent dont use heavy investment to buy them.
They increase the demand but cant win you game single handedly.
Dividend: Most of the companies paid dividend in start and than reduced
which had a negative effect. We started with .05 and increased by 20%
every year. With this we always increased the dividend with less effects to
our cash.
Stock buy back: We bought as much stock as it was available in every year.
Helped gain us some good points.







Our mistakes
Competitors are competitors: Don't guide any
other team else they will think they can
compete you. Beat them till the game is not
over.
Sell capacity: dont sell it even in reduced
demand years. Utilize them with reduced
prices. We sold it. But we bought back it in
last year and got success.





Recommendation


Game is far better than project. Learning is
better in game than in project
There should be a quiz related to basics of the
game before game starts because many of the
groups dont have the idea what is going on in
the start.
