JUNE, Obama said, Oil spill is the worst
environmental disaster America has ever faced. Make no
mistake: we will fight this spill with everything we've got for as
long as it takes.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar stated, "Our job basically is to
keep the boot on the neck of British Petroleum.

"relatively tiny" in comparison with the "very big ocean.

USE OF COREXIT DISPERSANT

Large amount of Corexit oil dispersant was used.

1.84 million US gallons of dispersants were used;
of this 771,000 US gallons were released at the wellhead.

Subsea injection was used for the first time.
