Concierge and reception staff are instructed not to accept any parcel for guest whose
name is not registered and to call guest immediately upon receiving parcel. To alert
Security Department on any suspicious item left on the floor.
Doorman must ensure that no car is allowed to park in the front without identifying the
guest and the car owner must inform doorman the purpose and the whereabouts of
his visit in the hotel. Doorman also must inform security of any suspicious characters.
Front Office Department and Security Officers briefed on handling parcels and other
items.
Pay special attention to suspicious bags, parcels and luggage that may be laying
unattended.
Pay attention to unauthorized vehicles parked along the hotel driveway for unduly
long periods.
Staff must ensure that no suspicious persons loitering anywhere in the building at
lengthy period without being checked.
Guest bags / suitcases / parcels should be claimed or kept near the owner.
Staff to treat suspicious parcels / bags / bags with caution and get advise from
Assistant Manager, Security or Police.
Doorman / Concierge must monitor car movements and car parked in the parking lots
in front of the hotel, as well as keeping a close lookout for any suspicious package /
item left unattended either in front of the hotel, in the public areas of the hotel and / or
in the back-alley behind the hotel.
Any long-term guests who stay in the hotel for a week and upon check-out, settle their
payment by cash, Security must be informed and guests particulars will be put on
trace.
To be vigilant of suspicious people handing over removable items to the Front Office
Information Counter or Business Centre.
Reinforced security both at the front driveway and maintain access control at the
loading bay with the help of Concierge.
Butlers, Room Attendants and Supervisors doubling up and are on the lookout for
activities on guest floors and to report suspicious activities.
All telephone calls to guestrooms are screened after midnight before they are being
put through or as and when requested by the in-house guests.
All Telephone Operators to be briefed and trained in bomb hoax and emergency
situations.
