CONDUCTING EXPERIMENTS
Do not waste water, electricity and gas.
Make sure the opening of the test-tube is
kept away from yourself or other people
when heating chemicals.
Do not place flammable substances near
fire.
Read the label carefully before using the
chemicals.
Never smell, touch or taste chemicals unless
instructed by the teacher.

SAFETY MEASURES WHEN
CONDUCTING EXPERIMENTS
Report any accidents and breakage of
apparatus to the teacher immediately.
Always handle chemicals with a spatula.
Extinguish fire embers on matches with
water before disposing them into the
dustbin.

RULES AFTER CONDUCTING
EXPERIMENTS
Clean all the apparatus and return them to
their original places.
Dispose waste materials appropriately. Ask
the teacher for further instructions if
necessary.
Make sure the bench tops and wash-basins
are clean before leaving the laboratory.
No apparatus and chemicals can be taken
out from the laboratory without permission.

RULES AFTER CONDUCTING
EXPERIMENTS
Do not return unused chemicals into their
bottles as this would cause contamination.
Turn off the tap and switch off the
electricity before leaving the laboratory.
Wash your hands thoroughly before
leaving the laboratory.
