Small-medium sized organizations or large corporations are more focused on incorporating knowledge management. The smaller organizations need to focus on face to face knowledge share and globalization. So do limited and other public limited companies. The majority of the organizations are looking to KM as a business improvement initiative and a way to sustain or increase market share. KM either emphasizes on the need for customer focus or it needs to gain competitive edge through innovation. Senior management posts are considered to be the most knowledgeable persons in the organizations. Knowledge Management is affected by the key factors like external environment, organizational culture, people and technological advancement Furthermore reliability was measured, both graphical and statistical applications were used and result of regression analysis was tested under t-test and was further supported by F test then outcome was concluded to be true that the values awarded to KM was accurate. Regression analysis was performed to ascertain if any relationships exist between KM and internal organizational factors, namely organization climate and technical infrastructure. Regression analysis was conducted to ascertain if an indirect contribution is made to KM by external factors like organizational climate, internal technical climate, organization size, market stage and type of respondent. Hence the result showed that the macro- environmental factors tend to influence KM in an indirect manner, so this relationship is not strong.
Though external factors are beyond control, the organizations can optimize its internal factors like technical, informational and personal elements. Organizations could initiate for change using knowledge oriented approach which could benefit KM for business improvement and sustainability. Establish a successful KM environment understanding its importance in detail. Organizations should not focus technology as the key driver for KM implementation and development as it provides short term benefits only. Organizations should adopt a culturally led change program for KM to override cultural barriers and shift cultural attitudes. To achieve successful KM, managers in organization should focus on combined approach for KM adoption on climate and technology.
