Classical Physics is simply
Physics that does not make
use of Quantum Mechanics
or the Theory of Relativity

THEORY OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
James Clerk Maxwell

- a fundamental phenomenon of electromagnetism,
behaving as waves and also as particles called photons
which travel through space carrying radiant energy.

LAWS OF MOTION
First Law Of Motion
- When viewed in an inertial reference frame, an object
either remains at rest or continues to move at a
constant velocity, unless acted upon by an external force.
Second Law Of Motion
- F = ma. The vector sum of the forces F on an object is equal
to the mass m of that object multiplied by the acceleration
Third Law Of Motion
- When one body exerts a force on a second body, the
second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in
magnitude and opposite in direction on the first body.

In Classical Physics, Energy and Matter
are two separate concepts
ENERGY
MATTER
IT IS ANYTHING THAT OCCUPIES SPACE AND
HAS MASS
IT EXISTS IN THREE BASIC FORMS---SOLID,
LIQUID, AND GAS
PLASMA, HIGHLY IONIZED GAS, HAS BEEN
CALLED A FOURTH FORM
IT IS THE CAPACITY TO MOVE
MATTER or TO DO WORK
IT CAN EXIST AS
MECHANICAL ENERGY
CHEMICAL ENERGY
RADIANT ENERGY
NUCLEAR ENERGY

LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS
- States that matter cannot be created or
destroyed
LAW OF CONSERVATION OF
ENERGY
- States that energy cannot be created
nor destroyed

LAW OF CONSERVATION OF
MOMENTUM
- States the momentum of an object is
unchanged unless a force acts on it

MAGNETISM
- refers to theories
of physics that predate modern, more
complete, or more widely applicable theories
- is a class of physical
phenomenon that includes forces exerted
by magnets on other magnets
- is the combined study
of thermodynamics, statistical mechanics,
and kinetic theory

- is the set of physical phenomena
associated with the presence and flow of electric charge

- is the branch of physics which involves the
behavior and properties of light, including its
interactions with matter and the construction
of instruments that use or detect it
- is the branch of science concerned with
the behavior of physical bodies when subjected
to forces or displacements, and the subsequent effects of
the bodies on their environment
is a kind of oscillation (disturbance) that travels
through space and matter. Wave motions
transfer energy from one place to another
