ADFCA (Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority). n Through this LAN employees can submit their requests to HR and follow up salaries, vacations, attendance….etc n n To any project manager a successful project is that which is delivered on time and fits the budget. n Also the project outcomes should be high quality and meets stakeholder expectations Time The project exceeded its deadline, Its starting date was the 1st of Jan 2007 and it was due on the 31st of Dec 2007. but the project was delivered in 1-Feb-2008. There were many reasons to this delay. The
First problem was more requirements by
ADFCA, because of the multiple change and adding of functions that the company was asked during the given period. Time n The second reason is that ADFCA was take much time to collect data used for Project purposes. n The third is that the company that was responsible to supply the servers that used in the Project was delayed. n All these reasons were not expected when planning the project. n Budget n In the planning phase before the project plan there was a feasibility study which was the short systems investigation. n This is an important Step before starting the project and after system request, because only after this study can the managers decide whether to do this project or not. n When the project was delivered the project was done within the budget. Budget n And that came from both good planning, and good estimation. n Identifying the project’s size, good monitoring, and making a good work plan helped to finish the project within the given budget. n Good team can effect the cost and time of the project and this project had a good team which helped to finish the project which fits the given budget. Quality n It is normal for any project in the world to have some errors, but the Quality for this project was high because the Microsoft had written about the ADFCA Project, also the team consisted of 5 people with good experience that lead to good quality. n It’s having minor errors like User name and passwords. n This project reaches the goals of high quality standard. n Quality n Good Quality of this project, goes to: n high standers used during uploading the data and writing the codes to the smallest detail. n Several testing by all levels of testing. n The high control of every step for the project which made all faults and errors discovered earlier. Methodology n I assume that the methodology that use in this project it is a prototype because the company that responsible of the project was send a demos for each step they finish to ADFCA to test it and they use these demos for the final project.
