Introduction
The operation and management method of the ARIEL system contains Serial
Input/Output (SIO) and Local Area Network (LAN).
Theses two methods are commonly named as Operation and Maintenance System
(OMS)
On the other hand, the ARIEL OMS program that is based on the Graphical User
Interface is used for system management with direction connection to the system or
connection through Internet in case of the LAN.
The ARIEL OMS, PC application program is basically designed to exchange and save
information between system and operation terminal using the LAN, and if necessary,
to enable the system operator to enhance management convenience by reconfiguring
saved information (data)
The ARIEL OMS can be broadly classified into tow programs.. GUI type program and
Man Machine Language terminal program based MML.
The MML terminal method allows operator to process quickly data input and output
since it is based on the text processing.
However, it requires much experience since the operator has to remember of refer to
many commands.
The GUI OMS is configured with the tree structure like Windows Explorer. Main menu
and several sub-menu are displayed on the concerned GUI screen and interrelated so
that relevant menu can be conveniently controlled.
Balloon help text is provided by the GUI OMS that displays the detailed help text
directly on the active window. Also, help text with the same format as the Windows
Help is provided.
Internal structure of OMS
Each program is running as an independent execution file and exchanges data inside
the Pc, which includes the program that handles socket, main OMS composed of the
actual configuration window, status window that displays the status of the exchange
<NL terminal that accepts MML command and confirms its result, data generation
program that generates the exchange data, and loading and backup program that
loads and makes a backup of the exchanges system program and data.

4. The Setup Type screen enables the user to select the type
of installation. Typical installation copies all programs to the
destination directory, whereas the Compact installation
installs only the OMS programs. Otherwise, the user can
select Custom installation that allows the use to select the
preferred programs out of OMS, production program and
system program. Press the Next button when modification is
finished.

6. The Program Folder means the ARIEL folder name that will
be created on the Windows Program folder installation is
completed. Press the Next button to proceed when
modification is finished.

OK button: Actually sends message to the system after performing addition, modification
or deletion work
The Login window will be activated when the OMS is started. The user has to input the password to
proceed.
By default, User ID is fixed as “ARIEL” (Only this ID exists)

You can choose the options to be applied the screen.

1.Click ‘Reg EXT’ and you can see window above.
2.User input tenant number and input speed extension number. Click ‘List’ button.
3.Click ‘OK’ button and ‘Query’ button to check.
4.The of numbers at the front are code numbers for speed dial.
So, you can make the calls by putting in individual speed dial Prefix count and number.
(ex: Prefix count[*11 ] +Number [1]=rings No.1001.

So, , when you put individual speed dial Prefix count and number you can ring the number that is registered
(ex: Prefix count [*11] + Number [2] = rings No.01090230096

When DOD (Direct Outward Dialing: PBX subscriber ) produces or installs lines ,
follow this process. Explains how to input about C/O (Analog Trunk)

1.Double click ‘Administration management’ → ‘system function information’
→‘numbering plan information’
2. Choose ‘Trunk’ and click ‘Query’ button.
3. You have to check if there is DOD number [9].
4. If there isn’t [9] , you have to add [9]

([Route group No.1]means using trunk number)

Input ‘Prefix count’ and ‘Digit count’ and then click ‘List’

Register system speed dial
[definition]
-Common speed dial code: subscriber use common speed dial code.
-Service type: when speed dial is used, you can decide what type it’s using.
-(Generally can be set up for ‘ Normal common speed dial & charge’ setting)
-Usable class: available to use speed dial .specify extension class.
(ex: Ist grade → all usable under 1st grade )
-Trunk call code: input Trunk call code
-outgoing digit: except trunk call code, oftenly used outside lines by Subscriber.
CALL BACK
*In case of calling extension and trunk, and the line is busy, if you
set up (CALL BACK) and hang up, it will connect you automatically
after the other party hangs up or when there is an unused line.
You put up the receiver to ring the other party or if it is trunk, it
Occupies a line automatically and rings the number.
( in case of Trunk, can be reserved only for trunk line, but out side calls
can’t be reserved.)
After Extension subscriber listens the busy signal tone and click
‘Flash’ then click ‘Feature Code’, subscriber can hear the signal.
After you register this function, you will hear the ringing first, then
it rings the other party.
Call Waiting
*when an extension subscriber is on the line, you can dial the subscriber
Informing there’s a Call waiting.
The party hears the alarm, can hold the previous line and can talk on
another line
-in case of ATD call subscriber, it can not interrupt.
-Difference from Camp on: ‘Call waiting ‘ is to reserve the first call
And talk with the new caller.
*After registering this function, When the party is on the line, the
Next call is auto call waited.

*This function is register own code. That transmit own code and
