What is
GPS ?

•Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense for the

military, the Global Positioning System (GPS) is a worldwide,
satellite-based, radio navigation system that will give you the
exact position of your vehicles, no matter where they are,
what time it is, or what the weather is like.

•A total of 24 satellites orbit the Earth, monitored continuously

by earth stations. The satellites transmit signals that can be
detected by GPS receivers located in your vehicles and used
to determine their location with great accuracy.

 How it Works ….

1) The ALS-5 tracking unit is installed in the vehicle and

programmed to report to the server PC in office.

2) The vehicle’s location is sent via the Internet and mobile phone
network to the server.

3) The information is decrypted and stored on the server.

4) As required any user can view the present location of vehicles,

run replays of a vehicle’s movements or print a number of
predefined reports including idle times, distance travelled and
over-speed reports.
