The series inductance L represents the total selfinductance of the two conductors,
and the shunt capacitance C is due to the close
proximity of the two conductors. The
series resistance R represents the resistance due
to the finite conductivity of the individual
conductors, and the shunt conductance G is due to
dielectric loss in the material between
