THE STRUCTURE OF PRESENTATION


Your presentation will be easily understood by the audience if it is presented
systematically by following a good structure of presentation.
An effective presentation typically consists of four stages:

STAGES IN INTRODUCTION
Greeting and welcoming the audience (personal
introduction if necessary)

Outlining your presentation (giving the main points
of your presentation)

CLARIFYING QUESTIONS
Make sure that you understand the question before you give the answer. You
can clarify a question by:
1. Interrupting the questioner
Sorry, could you speak louder, please?
2. Asking for repetition
Sorry, could you repeat the question?
Im sorry, I couldnt catch the point. Could you say that again, please?
3. Rephrasing the questions
Is your question ?

4. Asking further question for clarification

CHECKING THE ANSWERS


It is important to make sure that the audience
understand your answer. You can check it by
saying:
Did that answer your question?

STRATEGIES TO ADDRESS DIFFICULT QUESTIONS


It is important that you have a proper strategy to address difficult questions.
Below are some tips to deal with such questions:
1. Delaying the answer
Thats a good question, but perhaps we could deal with that later.
Sorry, could we discuss that later after the presentation?
Im not sure this is the right time to discuss that matter.
2. Not giving the answer
Im sorry. I dont know the answer.
Im afraid thats not my expertise.

3. Asking the floor
