Political Unrest

In the novel, The Great Gatsby and in our

current society, there is great disrespect to the
law. Not much has been done to solve this
dilemma.
PEPI- “P” and “E”
P- Online harassment of women shows how
women are disrespected, but it remains
over-looked by the law.
E- “ I’ve been drunk for about a week now,
and I thought it might sober me up to sit in
a library” ( Fitzgerald ).
PEPI- “P”
P- The online harassment of women exemplifies twenty-first century behavior that
profoundly harms women yet too often remains overlooked and even trivialized. This
harassment includes rape threats, doctored photographs portraying women being
strangled, postings of women's home addresses alongside suggestions that they are
interested in anonymous sex, and technological attacks that shut down blogs and
websites. It impedes women's full participation in online life, often driving them offline,
and undermines their autonomy, identity, dignity, and well-being. But the public and law
enforcement routinely marginalize women's experiences, deeming the harassment
harmless teasing that women should expect, and tolerate, given the internet's Wild West
norms of behavior.

PEPI- “I”
I-People drinking in the 1920s was
disrespecting the law of prohibition. Just
like people were disrespecting women
through harassment
PEPI- “P” and “E”
P-Many people with disabilities are treated
unfairly when it comes to making a living
and improving health. They are disrespected
because of the way they act
E-“ I believe that on the first night I went to
Gatsby’s house I was one of the few guests
who had actually been invited”( Fitzgerald)
PEPI- “P”
 P-Many individuals with psychiatric disabilities are unemployed or under-employed,
with detrimental consequences for their lives and mental health. Although prior research
suggests that stigmatization and discrimination contribute to this outcome, the exact
extent of such employer behavior has remained largely undetermined This article
reviews the employment situation of persons with psychiatric disabilities, considers
traditional ways to analyze the role of discrimination, and proposes situation testing as a
new methodology overcoming many limitations of prior research. By rigorously
documenting real world discriminatory practices, situation testing can importantly
influence public opinion and government policy, as well as change employers' behavior
through education or litigation.

PEPI- “I”
I-People disrespect other people by being
judgmental about there physical features
and from rumors or any type of false
identification.
PEPI- “P” and “E”
P- Students are disrespecting their teachers and
school by having unethical relationships and
cheating on school tests
E-“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy -
they smashed up things and creatures and then
retreated back into their money of their vast
carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them
together, and let other people clean up the mess
they had made” (Fitzgerald ).
PEPI- “P”
 P-survey of undergraduate business students at two state universities, one in the Midwest
and one in the South, revealed a significant relationship between unethical faculty
behavior and student cheating behavior. Faculty unethical behavior related to course
requirements and classroom behavior were significantly related to student cheating
behavior but not to student satisfaction with their university experience, or student
retention. Faculty unethical social behavior (e.g., dating students) was significantly
related to student retention. Finally, the results suggest that student cheating behavior
may be a more important predictor of student perceptions of the overall ethical climate
of their university than faculty unethical behavior.

ethical climate, student retention, cheating, satisfaction with university, and
perceived stress with student perceptions of faculty unethical behavior.(Report)."

PEPI- “I”
There is a lot of carelessness and disrespect
towards getting an education and to
anything in life. A lot of people risk to take
the easy way out.
Synthesis
People have been disrespecting others for so long
it seems normal. This disrespect can come in
different forms too. You can be judgmental about
someone’s features. Also you can have
carelessness toward an important subject that you
do not want to do, or you do not care about. In all
three slides it showed how all three of those are
used in today’s world and in the novel, The Great
Gatsby.
