INTRODUCTION
Jaipur metro rail corporation Ltd. is established to plan ,
design ,develop, construct,maintain,operate & finance
Rapid and mass people transport system.
Its started operating on January 20th ,2010.
The 1st project of this corporation is Jaipur Metro .
Jaipur metro phase 1st A covers Mansarovar to Chandpole.

Its total route length is 9.2 km .

The cost of phase 1st A is approx.


1250 crores.
It have 9 station from which 8 are
elevated and 1 is underground.
Jaipur metro is medium capacity metro
system is opted.
A medium capacity metro system has a
capacity for carring 25000-50000
passenger per hour.
A metro rail consist 4 coaches which
can be increased to 6 coaches.

Safety Measures
Safety means first aid to the uninjured

For any construction site safety first is main line.


There are some things has to be checked before entering in
a construction site like eg. Helmet ,Gloves ,safety shoes ,
etc.
The person working on higher ground has to wear harness.
First aid kit has to be there at a construction site.
Formwork should be done properly and checked by site
engineer.

FEATURES
Choice of gauge is 1435 mm
. It is a standard gauge.
Ballastless and continuous
welded rail track is opted
for metro track but ballast
track can be seen at
mansarovar metro depot.
Ballastless track has
advantages such long life
cycles, top speed, ride
comfort, and great loadcarrying capability.

Ballastless track require less


maintenance then ballast
track that these are
economical but intial cost is
high.
Continuous welded rail is
require less maintenance.

UNDERGROUND SECTION
CONSTRUCTION
As per Jaipur metro has 8 elevated and 1 underground
section.
Underground section is constructed by TOP DOWN
METHOD.
From this method top slab is casted with rigid connections
with diaphragm wall.

Stage-5: Stop ends fixing
Stage-6: Reinforcement Cage lowering

Stage-8: Withdrawal of Stop ends

FINISHING WORKS
Flooring is of Kota stone flooring
and tectile are used for blind
person .
Steel net is used for plastering the
joint of column and wall for
esthetic look.

CONCLUSION
It is very wonderful learning experience at Jaipur metro rail
corporation ltd Jaipur metro project for 45 days in Jaipur.
The experienced shared by the employees which they
gained. In this time I have learned many new things which
will surely help me in future and shaping my career
