Introduction
Computers have revolutionized the field of
education. The rise of internet has made
computers a real knowledge bank providing distant
education, corporate access etc. But the task of
computers in education can be comprehensive
only when the evaluation system is also
computerized. The real assessment of students
lies in the proper evaluation of their papers.
Conventional paper evaluation leaves the student
at the mercy of the teachers.

Proposed system
1. computerizing the evaluation system by applying
the concept of Artificial Neural Networks. 2.2
SOFTWARE: The software is built on top of the
neural net layers below. This software features
all the requirements of a regular answer sheet,
like the special shortcuts for use in Chemistry
like subjects where subscripts to equation are
used normally and anything else required by the
student
Proposed system
An artificial neuron is a device with many inputs
and one output. The neuron has two modes of
operation; the training mode and the using mode.
In the training mode, the neuron can be trained to
fire (or not), for particular input patterns. In the
using mode, when a taught input pattern is
detected at the input, its associated output
becomes the current output. If the Input pattern
does not belong in the taught list of input patterns

An Artificial Neural Network
A Neural Network The
(ANN) is an information
commonest type of artificial
processing paradigm that is
neural network consists of
inspired by the way biological
three groups, orlayers, of
nervous systems, such as the
brain, process information.
units: a layer of "input" units
The key element of this
is connected to a layer of
paradigm is the novel structure
"hidden" units,which is
of the information processing
connected to a layer of
system. It is composed of a
large number of highly
"output" units.The activity of
interconnected processing
theinput units represents the
elements (neurons) working in
raw information that is fed
unison to solve specific
into the network
problems
Neural network
The activity of each hidden unit is determined by the activities of the
input units and the weights on the connections between the input and
the hidden units. The behavior of the output units depends on the
activity of the hidden units and the weights between the hidden and
output units Neural networks are typically organized in layers. Layers are
made up of a number of interconnected nodes which contain an
activation function. In computational networks, the activation function of
a node defines the output of that node given an input or set of inputs. A
standard computer chip circuit can be seen as a digital network of
activation functions that can be "ON" (1) or "OFF" (0), depending on
input. Patterns are presented to the network via the input layer, which
communicates to one or more hidden layers where the actual processing
is done via a system of weighted connections
Neural network
He hidden layers then link to an output layer where the answer is output
as shown in the graphic. ANNs, like people, learn by example. An ANN is
configured for a specific application, such as pattern recognition or data
classification, through a learning process. There are two types of learning
process: Supervised learning process and the unsupervised learning
process. Supervised learning is a machine learning technique for
deducing a function from training data. The training data consist of pairs
of input objects (typically vectors), and desired outputs. The output of
the function can be a continuous value (called regression), or can predict
a class label of the input object (called classification). The task of the
supervised learner is to predict the value of the function for any valid
input object after having seen a number of training examples (i.e. pairs of
input and target output).
