Introduction
The Exotica Caf is a new start-up
company entering the food and beverage
industry in Canada.
The Canadian Coffee industry is worth 6
billion dollars.
TEC is introducing the Mobile Cafs and
drive-thrus.
It is a specialty beverage retailer that will
provide all the different coffee types from
different places across the globe.
It would focus on two markets: the daily
commuters and the captive consumer.

Ottawa has a population of 1.2 million and
the popularity of the Coffee is increasing day
by day.
Coffee is the most consumed beverage in
Canada after Water.
According to national coffee association and
national coffee drinking study above almost
60% of total citizens drink coffee every day.
720,000 of Ottawa people have a cup of
coffee on regular, routine basis.
We are planning to open our first fixed caf
in Kanata. There are only 2 Tim Horton & 1
Starbucks in Kanata that too situated at
remarkable distance.

Step 1: calculating 60% of 1.2 million comes to 720,000
people who drinks coffee daily.
ASSUMPTION: we are expecting to get 0.5%
market share
Step 2: calculating 0.5% of 720,000= 3600 people

medium cup of coffee as our main core product

So multiplying rate of a medium coffee cup * total num.

BEP is attained at: 1404 cups a day.
