INTRODUCTION :
Architecture is a multidisciplinary and versatile field which awakens the latent creativity of
an individual so as to appreciate aesthetics, functionality and techniques involved in a built
creation. Architecture as a profession today offers numerous opportunities to today's youth
to achieve success and satisfaction in life . The space of learning therefore must be
designed to provide the architects the environment that provides them spaces to learn , to
interact , to work with freedom , to gaze at nature and absorb its beauty and enhance their
skills , the students need to be trained in an environment providing them opportunities to
expand their horizons to deliver their best in the fields .
The project :
The Hindu School of Architecture has been initiated by The Sonepat Hindu Educational and
Charitable Society . The society is a non-profit charitable organization establish in the year
1914 with aim to further the spread of quality education in Sonepat and surrounding area .
At present, the society is running 14 educational institutions having their own campuses
with about 20,000 students and one charitable hospital. The society has a strong desire of
providing to the young people, aspiring to lead a creative life of an architect, a platform
that is based on idealistic but pragmatic thinking.
The College is affiliated to Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology,
Murthal , It has been approved by the Council of Architecture with an intake of 120 seats in
undergraduate programmes and an intake of 20 seats for postgraduate programmes . The
College also has the approval from the State Government of Haryana . The campus would
also have the facility of hostel for 50% of the students .
The college is presently situated in Industrial Area Phase 1 on Sonepat but keeping in mind
the future expansion of the college it is aspired by the society to be shifted soon to
proposed site in Rajiv Gandhi Education City.

The college is presently running s in industrial area ,but the site of 7.38 acre for the
same is being proposed in the RAJIV GANDHI EDUCATION CITY ,which includes the
requirements of M.arch and residential area ( hostels ) .
Hence the HSA campus needs to be shifted from its present location , because the
building is presently on lease of three years and needs to be expanded as required .
Rajiv Gandhi Education City is going to be the biggest educational project not only in
NCR region but throughout India. No campus in India occupies area as big as 5000
acre.

The site being proposed in Rajiv Gandhi Education City Phase 1 located on NH1 having
the major advantage because the following education city can be major boost for driving
middle class families out of Delhi if they allow good universities under their belt and can
create opportunities for employment for lecturers/ teachers/ human resources/ class IV
jobs.
Kundli is an emerging new destination which comes under district Sonepat and is 15-20
minutes drive from Pitampura/ Rohini and right on National Highway 1. Kundli is
approximately 31 kms from Connaught place and 2.5 kms from Delhi border.
Even in the Delhi Master Plan 2021, Kundli is projected to be part of the NCR, which
would also be a benefit of location to the project , being constructed in the NATIONAL
CAPITAL REGION
