History and Development of PT. Perta-Samtan Gas

PT. Perta-Samtan GAS established on May 7, 2008
under the name. E1-Pertagas, with the aim of
managing natural gas in South Sumatra which contains
C3 ++ into LPG products (NGL) to support the
goverment's program converting energy from
kerosene to LPG, reducing the burden of goverment
subsidies, increasing local revenue and conserving
local economy.
In August 2010, E1 Corporation, Korea transferred its
shares to Samtan Co., Ltd. of Korea and on January 28,
2011 and change the name with PT. E1-Pertagas into
PT. Perta-Samtan GAS.

managed to provide the advantages for stakeholders,

produce LPG and condensate.
providing the needs of the use of LPG in this country,
which has improved dramatically by the goverment's
program converting energy from kerosene to LPG for
households.

Conclusion
PT. Perta-Samtan Gas consists of two plants; the
extraction plant and fractionation plant.
PT. Perta-Samtan Gas Extraction plant is in Prabumulih,
produced Lean and NGL. The NGL product will be sent
to the plant fractionation in Sungai Gerong for the next
process and used as LPG products.
PT. Perta-Samtan fractionation Gas plant is in Sungai
Gerong, Palembang. The Products of this plant
fractionation are LPG and Condensate.
By this opportunity as a student, we would like to learn
more about the compressor, especially efficiency of the
compressor. We will compare the efficiency ratio by
work on field and by design. And we hope by our
research we can make a contribution for this company,
PT. Perta-Samtan Gas.
