Continental India Limited, Modipuram & Partapur

Past & Present
Modi Rubber Limited was incorporated in 1971 and started commercial production in 1974
and was the first Indian Tyre Company in Technical collaboration with Continental,
Germany.
Modi Rubber Limited was closed in August2001.
Modi Tyres Company Private Limited restarted the production in June, 2009
Continental AG acquired the Company in July2011 and Continental India Limited was
formed.
Continental India Limited has two plants in Meerut, one is Modipuram plant - producing
tyres, and second is tube plant at Partapur (approximately 20 Kms from Modipuram)

CIL is producing TBX,TBR & PLT tyres.
Capacity of Plant for TBX is around 1 million tyres per annum.
First Radial PLT Green tyre built at Modipuram on 14th December 2012 and cured on
December 31, 2012
First TBR Green Tyre built on 1st February 2013 at CIL Modipuram and cured on 19th
February 2013
TBR Start of Production in November 2013, capacity 220,000 tyres per annum.
PLT Start of Production in November 2013, capacity 800,000 tyres per annum.
