PASSPORT SEVA PROJECT


A Passport is an essential travel document for those who are travelling
abroad for education, tourism, business purposes, medical attendance and
family visits .To meet the increasing demand, theMinistry of External Affairs
(MEA) launched thePassport Seva Project (PSP)in May 2010.

Passport seva portal provides :


a) Procedure for online application of passport
b) Police Clearance Certificate(PCC)
c) Online Identity Certificate

PASSPORT SEVA APPLICATION/ WEBSITE

Designed for the citizens who are interested in Passport related


information/applying for it.
easy to use app that provides specific details.
The app provides information on various steps.
The users are able to search for a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or
District Passport Cell (DPC).
The users can track status of their passport applications using file
number and date of birth.

AADHAAR CARD UID


Aadhaar is a unique Identification number issued by UIDAI to
individuals for the purpose of establishing unique identification of
every single person.
It is a unique 12 digit number issued to an individual.
It is meant for individuals of any age (including children) for the purpose
of establishing identities.
The demographic and biometric details are stored in a centralized
database.
Aadhaar is not a compulsory approach.

It is unique enough to eliminate the duplicate and fake identities in
government and private databases.
Online identity verification is the basis for building multiple services

CASE - STUDY
It is a cold, windy morning in Meru village, in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh
district. In the courtyard by the dilapidated library, dozens of locals
have gathered, some in their best clothes. A 39-year old lady, waits to
withdraw money, clutching a laminated card that bears herunique
identification (UID) or 'Aadhaar number.
The 'business correspondent' (a bank-appointed agent) punches the
number into a hand-held device known as a 'Micro ATM' and scans her
fingerprint. After authentication, she gets her money. This is the first
financial transaction the that she has made in her life. "It is quite
simple," she says.

new program which is going to take advantage of the Cloud Computing.
