1.Power on and open the disk, Separate CD-Door.


2.Remove the AC cord from the outlet, pull up and remove
CABINET-TOP.

1.Unfasten 2 screws and remove the 2 cables


2.Pull up and remove the CD-DECK

4. Separate vol and jack pcb, unfasten 11 screws of vol and jack pcb

1. Unfasten 4 screws of rear panel and separate it from bottom panel; Unfasten the screw connected bottom panel

1. Take the main pcb away from smps pcb; Unfasten the 5 screws on the smps pcb and separate it away from bottom panel

If you think, there are problems at the AMP PART, you
can check the pcb without disassemble the set.
(Caution!! : Do not connect the power cord during bellow check!)

6.Communication Failure-Fan Error


MX-C870 series have a Fan and Fan Circuit to control the temperature of the SET inside
(FAN Automatically work after power On)
If there are some problems, FAN CHECK will be displayed and power off.

1.Symptom
Display FAN CHECK Power Off (about 5 seconds)

2.Methood
1.Check the Fan Connector MAIN PCB [FACN1]
2.Check around the Fan (something is blocking the FAN or not)
3.Check the FAN Circuit (Check FAN circuit is shorted or opened )

3.Procedure

Micom is sending a start message to FAN by FAN_ON

Check the FAN_CHECK Port (Connection, Operating)

If the output increase, FAN will work faster Automatically.

7.MICOM Initialization & Update


. Micom Reset
During STANDBY mode , push the STOP button 5 Second. If VFD blinking, reset is finished.

. Micom Update (Only for Flash Micom)


METHOD 1) MAIN PCB UTCON1 for update JIG.
To update Micom, it need Computer, Rom Writer, USB Cables
METHOD 2) Insert USB Memory, and play. Updating will be displayed. Set will be power off
when finish.

. Micom & MPEG Version Check


1) POWER ON
2) CD open status
3) Push the number NEXT for 5 seconds, check the micom version
4) Push the number PREVIOUS for 5 seconds, check the mpeg version

. MPEG Update
1) Prepare rom file at USB Memory
2) Insert USB Memory, and play. Updating will be displayed. Set will be power off on
3) The disc is automatically ejected. (If you use USB memory, detach USB memory)
