The creation of the program began with Ms.Vanetta Keyes

Ms. Keyes was a concerned parent of an overweight child

and realizing there was little support she took
action.Thats how CHOICES became what it is today.

Keyes

knew what every child and each family needs is a

way of life that promotes healthy eating, physical activity
and peer socialization on a long-term basis.

The

name truly reflects their mission, which is to prevent

obesity and eliminate the overweight epidemic in children by
enabling them to make better choices as it relates to food
and lifestyle.

Keyes

realized .The challenge we face, is to reverse the

trend.
At

C.H.O.I.C.E.S., we have a committed team of educators,

medical professionals, parent volunteers and a very creative
staff.

CHOICES

offers positions for volunteers, donations, positions

for camp councilor, sponsorship as well as media, blogs and
newsletters.
