Animal Fashion Planet

Introduction
It can be difficult for pet owners to find a pet outfit that fits
their personality or fashion sense. Other times its hard for
them to find clothing and accessories if their companion
isnt a typical household pet. Pet parents shall fear no
more! Our company will take over the world of pet fashion
in order to bring great happiness and satisfaction to pets
and their parents everywhere!

Business Mission
Animal Fashion Planet (AFP) is a new kind of company that
provides not only a product, but a type of living. We do so by
understanding that pets, are not only our companions, but part
of our family. We take pride in providing top of the line clothing
for our furry, scaly, or feathery family members. We here at
AFP believe that our pets deserve the best. We strongly
believe that by choosing our product you are not only dressing
your pets in clothing, but in love.

SWOT Analysis
A SWOT analysis examines strength, weakness,
opportunities, and threats to help plan a companys strategy
Animal Fashion Planet will use SWOT to make good
business decisions and build opportunities that offset threats
and build strengths.

Strenghts: One of our strengths lies in focusing on creating


unique and eco-friendly products for our customers, and
offering clothing for non-traditional pets.
Our company also will have customer service 24/7, online
and via phone.
Weaknesses:
A major weakness that AFP has is the lack of a physical
store. Since we are an online based company, there is no
way that consumers would be able to try out our products
before buying them.
Opportunities:
The website allows customer to purchase as items in one
order and ship to several destinations. Therefore, Animal
Fashion Planet has an opportunity to be shared with
consumers all over the world. As result, the company can
increase all cash flows and invest in promotions, coupons, or
animal donations.
Threats:
Animal Fashion Planets biggest threat is not having a
physical location for customers to go shop with their pets.
Some risks include sending the wrong product or even
having the order get lost while in transit.

Business Model
Through online sales we can determine how our product
and business are perceived. A short, five question survey
will be given to customers after each purchase with the
option to opt out if they decide not to participate. From these
we will be able to eliminate any product that fails to meet our
clients needs. Also, allowing the customer to write their own
review of the product on our web page will provide more
insight to the business and a detailed explanation of its use
from other consumers. Making a social media profile for the
business and keeping it up to date with recent world events
and charitable causes will help us stand out. Any posting
made will have helpful and clear information and will include
links to our various products and/or campaigns. These links
can then be monitored to identify how many consumers are
visiting our web site and how many of them purchase our
product or get involved in our cause.
Animal shelters are funded by taxpayers dollars, but rely
heavily on contributions to support their services (Hall et al.,
2009, p. 270). Animal Shelters face financial concerns year
after year, and their facilities lack much of the equipment
that a shelter should have to ensure the health and wellbeing of its animals (Hall et al., 2009, p. 271). Each
purchase includes a ten percent donation to any animal
shelter of the consumers choice. A list of participating
charities will be available at the time of purchase along with
the option to not participate. In return, the charities will
advertise our products to new pet owners in their facilities or
web sites.

Marketing Objective
Animal Fashion Planets objective is to satisfy the artistic
and fashion needs of unique pets and pet owners while
helping less fortunate animals and the environment. Our
company offers top-quality products for everybody, not
matter the pet species or the pet parents style. We hope to
bring joy to those consumers who arent able to find unique
products and styles elsewhere. We believe a happy pet
parents equates a happy pet. If we can bring joy to one pet,
we can bring joy to those animals who arent fortunate
enough to have a pet parent of their own. Donating to
unfortunate animals helps spread no only joy, but warmth
and comfort. All of this is done using the most
environmentally materials available. Recycling paper
causes 35 percent less water pollution and 74 percent less
air pollution than making paper from raw materials.
(Poncavage, 2015). AFP only uses recycled materials for
shipping purposes, we want all creatures to be able to enjoy
a clean earth. The production of cotton consumes huge
quantities of water, and often in places that can least afford
it. (Hulm, 2008). Using 100% organic cotton might cost a
little more, but we can reduce the negative environmental
impact left by other traditional production methods.

Marketing Mix
Product: We offer environmentally- friendly pet clothing. Our
company is specialized to make the trendiest, most comfortable,
and appropriate clothing for all pets

Competitive Advantage
Our company implements social responsibility as a
competitive advantage over other brands. We donate ten
percent of our profits to charities and non-profit
associations that rescue and help homeless animals in the
United States, like the American Animal Rescue Society,
and the Animal Protection and Rescue League. Also, we
are including the green marketing, which will minimize the
negative effects on the physical environment, (Lamb,
2003) by creating products with organic fabrics, that are
100% biodegradable. These fabrics will include organic
cotton, silk, polyester, and bamboo, which have no
pesticides, chemical fertilizer or herbicides. These ecofriendly products are a little bit more expensive to create,
because they require more time to grow, and more
fieldwork (LaMeaux, n.d.).

Conclusion

Distribution: All purchases can be done within a matter of


seconds via our online store.

Animal Fashion Planet will rise above competitors to


provide amazing, various fashion styles to many different
pets. We aim to help animals who cannot help
themselves. With the help of our consumers and their
wonderful companions we will make a difference in the
lives of those who are helpless.

Promotion: Create brand awareness, by donating some of our


profits to shelters and by promoting environmental awareness.
