MONITOR SPEAKERS

A5

`53,600

Built on the heritage of ADAM Studio Monitors, which are employed in

many of the most renowned recording and sound studios around the
world, the new compact A5 brings the same breakthrough ADAM
loudspeaker technologies to multimedia applications such as desktop
recording, broadcasting, gaming, home theatre and surround applications.

The dynamic response and treble are highly impressive, with great transien
handling. Acoustic material sounds convincing, reverb spaces are audible,
and stereo imaging is sharp. The bass and mids are good, too. When mixin
we attenuated the LF and HF EQ, as the A5s sounded a little bit scooped. It
took us a while to hit upon a good mix - virtually every adjustment seemed
to make a difference. The shape of the drums when tweaking compressio
was clearer, as was the reverb space. Our final test mix was solid and satis
with rocking, nicely squashed compression on the drums. It might take us a
little while to get used to the sound of the tweeter, but these speakers des
to be heard, as theyre pretty special.

Amplifiers and controls

Two built-in 25 Watt amplifiers power the drivers
directly. The front of the A5 sports dual ports for
surprising low frequency response down to 55Hz,
metal grills for durability, as well as power and
gain controls. The rear panel includes balanced
(XLR) jacks, unbalanced (RCA) jacks, and a host of
EQ controls to tailor the sound to suit room
acoustics or personal taste.
Stereolink
The A5 employs a new development by ADAM
called Stereolink. This new technology connects
two A5 speakers in such a manner as to allow the
user the option to control the overall stereo
volume of the system from either speakers gain
control. This makes the A5 a natural for "mixerless" desktop applications where overall system
volume needs to be adjusted often and from a
single control.

MSP7

`24,900

The new top-of-the-line MSP7 STUDIO Powered Monitor Speaker i

capable of delivering consistent quality and performance that yo
can rely on in modern production environments that handle any
combination of digital and analog sources as well as stereo and
surround formats.

MSP7 STUDIO, with a new

"advanced magnetic structure
that achieves effective shielding while
maintaining the integrity of the speaker's
magnetic circuit for significantly lower
distortion as well as an improved definition.

Where wood cabinets have glued joints that interrupt the continuity of the enclosure, the thick walled
MSP7 STUDIO cabinet is molded in one piece, resulting in smooth acoustic transfer throughout the entire
enclosure for superior reproduction precision.

he MSP7 STUDIO features a balanced XLR-type connector for input. This provides direct compatibility with
rofessional gear and allows the use of balanced lines for maximum audio quality even where long cable run
re required. Rear-panel controls include a continuous input sensitivity control, and trim switches that enable
ou to adjust the bass and treble in four and three positions, respectively (+1.5 dB/0 dB/-1.5 dB/-3 dB at 50 H
nd +1.5 dB/0 dB/-1.5 dB at 10 kHz), so that the system's response to be quickly matched to the room. Ther
so a low cut (FLAT, 80 Hz, 100 Hz) switch that is useful when the MSP7 STUDIO is used with the SW10 STUD
ubwoofer. The AC power cord is removable for easy transportation and setup.

JBL Patented Slip Stream Port

This patented JBL port design works in concert with the LSR310S low frequency driver
for deep, dynamic bass response at all playback levels. The double-flared shape of the
port is precisely calculated to optimize low-frequency extension.
XLF Extended Low Frequency Setting
The XLF setting activates a specially-engineered tuning that emulates the ample bass tuning
used in today's dance clubs. When producing a dance track, the XLF setting will inspire us
and bring a bit of the club to your control from. For inspiration to the max, position the
LSR310S in the nearest corner of the room and activate the XLF setting.
Custom 10" Down-Firing High Excursion Low Frequency Driver
The custom-designed driver in the LSR310S exemplifies JBL engineering prowess, delivering
deep low frequency response into the 20 Hz region, and 113 dB peak output, for long periods
at full rated power with no risk of failure.
Professional Balanced Inputs and Outputs
With balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs and XLR outputs we can add the LSR310S to any studio
monitor system to extend its low frequency performance or use it as the ".1" LFE Channel
in a surround sound system.
Selectable Input Sensitivity
The -10dBV/+4 dBu sensitivity switch ensures compatibility with a broad range of signal
sources, allowing us to connect the LSR310S to high-output professional equipment
without any danger of input overload.
Three Crossover Settings
The 80 Hz setting is recommended for use with the LSR305, LSR308 or any studio monitors.
The External setting allows use of an outboard crossover.
