To Unlock Windows device

1. Set Up Windows 8 Operating System into a machine.
2. Install Windows Phone SDK in the machine.
3. Create an licensed developer account in windows device

(create a Microsoft ID and Password).

4. Connect windows device with Windows 8 machine (always

keep device screen unlock).

5. Launch Windows developer Registration tool.
6. Click on Register button, Sign-in page gets displayed.
7. Enter Microsoft ID and Password associated with the account.
8. On Doing so, Status in the Developer Phone registration

windows shows Device Unlock.

9. Close the Window.

Steps to Sideload Test App

Connect windows device to the machine and sync the

account.
Launch Windows Power Tool.
From Connect to Dropdown select Device.
Click on Connect.
All the options will be enabled.
Click on Install/ Update.
Click on Browser and select the location where the Test
App is stored.
Click on Install.
Under Dev Apps, the installed App name gets displayed.

Launch Windows Power Tool

and select DEVICE from
Connect to Drop Down

Click Browse and select the location of the App

and click on Install

Directing to an Environment in IDS App

Open IDS test app in the device.

Select the Environment from the drop down list.
Select IDS UI and then Challenge.
BBID05 environment portal gets opened.
Either create or Sign in with the existing account - a
success message gest displayed.
Select Clear Identity and corresponding message gets
displayed.

Steps to capture logs from Test App

Launch Windows Power Tool.
From Connect Dropdown select Device.
Click on Connect.
All the options will be enabled.
Click on Isolated Storage.
Click on the App to expand the tree.
Expand Files -> Logs ->
Two types of logs gets displayed
Open and save the files.

Save the extracted Logs in the

required location.

From the Isolated Storage select

the App and Expand the tree.
