ABSTRACT
To design the WEB ENABLED SMART SHOPPING TROLLEY using the

ARM7 Processor which avoids the long queue formation at billing

counters and consume the time of customer.
Now days we can see huge rush at malls on holidays and weekends. The
rush is even more when there are special offers and discount.
People purchase different items and put them in trolley. After total purchase
one needs to go to billing counter for payments.
At the billing counter the cashier prepare the bill using bar code reader
which is a time consuming process and results in long queues at billing
counters.
Our aim is to develop a system that can be used in shopping malls to solve
the above mentioned problem.

EXPLANATION
The whole system consists of two major parts one is placed inside the

trolley and another one is on the billing section.

The price list of each product had been detected by the RD-ID tag placed

inside the product.

And each product price has been summed with the previously purchased

things.
And also the price has been deduced from the total amount when the

product is taken out from the trolley.

At list of purchased item has been send to the billing section through

Zigbee transceiver.

EXPLANATION
Now we need to enter the account number of our ATM card and our mobile

number through the keypad that has been placed in the trolley.
After debiting the particular amount the intimation will bee provided to the

customer in the form of text message to their mobile through GSM.

ALGORITHUM
STEP 1: start program
STEP 2: Declare all the header files
STEP 3: Initialize all the variables
STEP 4: Call the delay function
STEP 5: Initialize UART1 by configuring U1lSR and U1LCR register
STEP 6: Initialize UART0 by configuring U0lSR and UOLCR register
STEP7: Read the RF-ID values
STEP 8:Display the total amount and the item name
STEP 9: If the same RF-ID card had been read second time the respective item

value will be deduced.

STEP 10: The total amount has been sent to the customers mobile through GSM.
STEP 11: The purchased item is send to the server through ZigBee
STEP 12: Stop program

CONCLUSION
Concluding this project, we would like to highlight that we drew the inspiration and idea
o after observing large queues at the sales and billing counters at the Retail bazaars.
While working on this paper we learnt substantially about RFID technology, embedded
systems and wireless systems, ZigBee modules alike.
This system would help in cost saving at the supply chain level. At the same time it
would also reduce the required no of salesmen.
Thus it is truly time saving method and guarantees the less time consumption out of all
present billing methods.
The cart's inbuilt automatic billing system makes shopping a breeze and has other
positive spin-offs such as freeing staff from repetitive checkout scanning, reducing
pilferage and increasing operational efficiency in stock taking.
