AFS Master Data: Business Scenario

Our TS-TSHIRT-## and TS-JEANS-## are available in

different sizes and colors

TS-TSHIRT-## is available in four sizes - S, M, L, XL -

and various colors (two dimensions)

TS-JEANS-## are available in various sizes (inseam,

waist measurements) and colors (three dimensions)

A company can segment its stock by quality. For

example, we want to produce two categories, one

for a manufacturers label (MLABEL-1), and one for
a private label (PLABEL). However, we can also
have a category (MLABEL-2) which could be
second quality or rejects.

Grid Control Data: Business Scenario

You have created a general master grid for different

models of ladies shoes and assigned the grid to

your shoe materials. Thus you basically specified
for all plants in which characteristic values all of
your shoe models can exist.
In the sales area 1 you sold the sizes 38 to 42 of

your model A, in sales area 2 only sizes 34 to 39.

You can map this in the System, by assigning
different application grids to your model A. To do
so, you use grid control data according to the sales
area.
