ago, and most holy to the Jews since his son, King Solomon, Built

from the beginning as events in Jesus life
occurred in Jerusalem.
Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem and
buried near the Golgotha (the skull),
today the most Holy Church of Sepulture.
Jesus was ascended to heaven from the
Mount of Olives.

Islam was influenced from Judaism and referred Jerusalem as holy from
the beginning.
For approximately a year, before it was permanently switched to the
Kabaa in Mecca, the qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims was
Jerusalem.

Muslims believe Muhammad was miraculously transported one night
from Mecca to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, whereupon he ascended
to Heaven to meet previous prophets of Islam.
Today on the Temple Mount are standing two Islamic Landmarks AlAksah Mosque (the farthest), and the Dome of the Rock, which stands
over the Foundation Stone, from which Muslims believe Muhammad
ascended to Heaven.
RELIGIOUS EVENTS
Friday is a crowded day in Jerusalem.
At noon thousands of Muslims come to pray at the Temple Mount (in
Arabic Haram Ash-Sharif meaning the Noble Sanctuary).
In the afternoon Christian Catholic monks parade and pray along the
Via Dolorosa the way of agony of Jesus.
In the evening Jews harry to the Western Wall to pray for the coming
of Holy Sabbath.
RELIGIOUS EVENTS
Jewish pilgrimage to Jerusalem is made
three times a year on holidays Succoth,
Pesach and Shavuot.
Christians comes to Jerusalem on holidays
and especially on Good Friday, the second
week of April.
Moslems come on important holidays.
Friday is holiday for Moslems, Saturday
for Jews and Sunday for Christians.
HOUSE OF PRAY
Jews pray in a synagogue. Heads should be covered. Men and
women pray separately. The Rabbi conduct the pray and all face

Christian house of pray is the church. Man should take hats off entering the
holy place. Men and women pray together. The service is conducted by
