• ABL has many competitors, which are continuously
increasing its products and marketing aggressively.
It may cause its customers to shift to competitors.
• Pakistan India relations often create a war danger. This
chance of war may cause army officer and their
families to increase the frequency of withdrawals,
which would decrease deposits.
• In Gujrat Imports & Exports business are done on
seasonal basis which affect the whole business of AKBL
Gujrat.
• The schedules of charges indicate that the fees charged
by the bank on the various services it provides are
extremely high. It may result in decrease in the number
of its existing customers.

History of Askari Bank Limited
• Askari Bank Limited was incorporated in Pakistan on
October 9,1991.
• It commenced operation on April 1,1992.
• Askari Bank Limited work as a Army Trust which was
established for the welfare of Army Officials.
• Army welfare trust Situated in AWT plaza Rawalpindi.
• Askari bank has expanded into a network of 200
branches. Including 20 dedicate Islamic Banking and a
wholesale bank branch in Bahrain.

to many other branches.

should lend to very sound parties and increase

should be increased and extra benefits should be given
to the employees as the bank timing has been
increased.

Suggestions
• Today is the era of competition. To compete the
competitors AKBL should reduce its services charges
and increase the rate of return to depositors and
reduse the mark up rates on advances.
• AKBL should give the authority to lower management or
employees like as branch manager to make the
decision at sight. It will reduce the cost and time
customer satisfaction level will increase.
