TRAINING?
Training is an organized activity
involving fact finding, planning,
coaching practicing attempt to develop
skills and to add this skills to selected
native ability, casually, acquired
knowledge and experience.

DEVELOPMENT?
Development is a long term process

using a systematic and organized


procedure through which managerial
personnel learn conceptual as well as
theoretical knowledge , it involves
preparing an individual for a future job
and growth of the individual in all
matters.

Company Profile

The Oberoi Group, founded in 1934, owns and


manages thirty hotels and five luxury cruisers
in six countries under the 'Oberoi' and the
'Trident' brands.
Udaivillas is a luxury resort located on
Udaipur legendary Lake Pichola overlooking its
beautiful island palaces and the Udaipur City
Palace. The resort is accessible by land and
boat. Set amidst 30 acres of beautifully
landscaped gardens.

Objectives

The main objective is to find out the


impact of training and development
program conducted by the
organization.

To suggest ways and measure of


improving managerial practices with
the changing needs of the organization
which are in conflict with the employee
needs.

Data analysis and


interpretation

In the sample all 100% employees says


that they get training for around 1
week-1 month.
Employees get both type of training On
the job and off the job training.
Employees get training on personal
development also.
Udaivillas is having its own personal
training institute Step Training

Conclusion

Employees are satisfied with the


training methods of the organization but
they said that the method of training
program was little redundant.
Employees get both type of training
theoretical as well as practical.
All training programs are appropriate to
the need of the organization as well as
enough to groom the personality of
employees.

Limitations

The company does not provide


much of its information as it is
kept confidential so I was limited
to the lower grade personnel only.

Language barrier between the


researcher and the respondents.

Sometimes biased response was


received and also vague replies
were received from the employees.

Suggestions

Training provided should not be so


repetitive in nature
Training should be need based and job
related
Practical cases should be discussed
After the training period is over there
should be complete assessment and
feedback by the worker
Job rotation method should be practiced
for more productivity.
