My Teaching philosophy

As an educator in the program of Mechanical

engineering, I am fascinated by the question of
how I can prepare students to solve problems
related to technical systems that will be useful to
the industry .
My teaching methods draw from my own
experience in teaching and mentoring students.
I entertain excellent relationships and rapport
with my students.
I hold an open-door policy in which students are
able to come to consult me in my room everyday
and any time.
I attended and attending many workshops to
make myself ready for future challenges in

Collaborative Activity
STAD(student team achievement division)

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this
course, the student will be able to:
Describethe general steps of finite
element methods.
Explain the basic finite element
formulation techniques.
Derive and solve equations in finite
element methods for 1D, 2D and 3D
problems.

TEACH

Collaborative Activity

Step: 1

I let students know about

Outcome expected/achieved from this
activity, which outcome of the course this collaborative activity is
associated, which part of the syllabus in the course it covers. And I will
explain about how this collaborative activity (STAD) is done and its
outcomes expected/achieved
Step: 2

TEACH

I explained about the general steps of finite element methods for 10

minutes
Step: 3
I will give time to students to think and understand
about the topic I explained and I provide environment to discuss with
other members of team (they can raise question and doubts at this time)
time allotted 15 minutes at this period my role will be a facilitator.
Step 2 and 3 are repeated till entire topic on which activity is planned is
covered (3 classes)
Step: 4
Subjective Test will be conducted on this activity on 4th day
Step: 5

Course objectives
At the end of the course the student should be able todescribe
the general steps of finite element methods.
At the end of the course the student should be able to explain the
basic finite element formulation techniques.

TEACH

At the end of the course the student should be able to Derive and
solve equations in finite element methods for 1D, 2D and 3D
problems.
At the end of the course the student should be able toformulate
and solve basic problems in Heat transfer, Mechanics of solids
and Modal analysis problems.

Convincing students about the objectives achieved through this activity

Time is important parameter, managing the time to conduct activity
Maintaining discipline.
Motivating students to involve in the activity
Absenteeism
