QUALITY
Quality means freedom from deficiencies
freedom from errors that require doing work
over again (rework) or that result in field
failures, customer dissatisfaction, customer
claims, and soon.
There are a number of factors on which
quality fitness of garment industry is based
such as - performance, durability, visual and
perceived quality of the garment .

GARMENTS

Banswara Garments is located in Daman.


The garment unit is a specialized in
Trousers and Jackets production.
The installed capacity is for about
3,30,000 trousers and 22,500 jackets per
month.
The factory is equipped with a full
complement of machines to be able to
manufacture trousers and Jackets of the
finest quality.

Buyers import garments at AQL .
They follow the 5s quality system under
Total Productive maintenance.
In process inspection : They have a
quality manual that details how

SYSTEM

AQL
An AQL means that as long as a supplier
maintains process average (% defective)
at the assigned AQL or lower, there is a
very high probability that shipments from
that
supplier
(inspected
using
the
Exchange
sampling
plans)
will
be
accepted.
Conversely, there is a very high probability
that shipments (inspected using the
Exchange sampling plans) will be rejected
if a supplier's process average (%
defective)
remains
higher
than
the

Take a sample of 50 pieces at random from
this shipment.
Inspect all 50 pieces.
If 2 or less defective pieces are found, well

If 3 to 7 defective pieces are found, then
take additional 75 samples at random.
Inspect all 75 samples.
If a total of 7 or less defective pieces are
found, well accept the lot.

and correction made due to which, they
got clarity in reducing the unwanted work
and effective utilization of resources in
the industry.

the industry, which helped in improving
their performance in their day-to-day

CUTTING DEPARTMENT: The floor space
was utilized properly. Employee

BROKEN YARN

FABRIC
FAULTS

If yarn is absent in the fabric for


a very short or long distance and
then this fabric defect is called
broken yarn.
SHADE BAR
A change in shade with in a
short duration across the width
of the fabric.
COARSE YARN
A yarn having a large diameter
than normal to the fabric.

STAIN/ OIL
Oil Spot on the fabrics are
caused by too much oiling
on loom parts r from other
sources. However, oil stains
in most fabrics may be
removed by scouring
process.
HOLES
If there is any small holes
present in the fabric and
then it is a major fabric
defect .

STYLING INSPECTION GUIDELINES


Styling of each garment defines the
uniqueness of design of the garment.
It is very important that this requirement
be translated accurately into the
manufacturing process.
This styling inspection guideline serves
the purpose of defining the basic styling of
any garment and as a guide to follow
during the styling inspection.
