natural white crystalline alkaloid found in the

back of cinchona tree.
Commonly used to treat malaria. Can also be use
as antipyretic (fever-reducing), analgesic
(painkilling) and anti-inflammatory properties.
Geometric progression is use to calculate the
amount of quinine in the body right after every
dosage.
Dosage of quinine is stopped until certain amount
of dose to prevent side effect to our body.

Methodology

It is stated that a
malarias patient is
given 50mg of quinine
each dose every 24
hours, 75% of quinine
is metabolized.
The quantity of
quinine in the body
can be calculated by ;
Qn = 50 + (Qn-1),
where n is 1,2,3,, 8.

Concentration of quinine in body =

Concentration of quinine in the body must be
kept between 0.4mg/kg to 2.0mg/kg.

50mg of quinine only effective for patient who weight is
35kg.
Based on my weight (50kg), in order for quinine to be
effective and safe for me, I need to take 71mg of quinine.
