The enemy is preparing for his LAST CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE CHURCH. He
has so concealed himself from view that many can hardly believe that he
exists, much less can they be convinced of his amazing activity and power. . .
. {Mar 64.2} The substitution of the laws of men for the law of God, the
exaltation, by merely human authority, of Sunday in place of the Bible

The Prophet SpeaksWhen the LEADING churches of the United States, uniting upon
such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to
enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have
formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon
dissenters will inevitably result. {GC 445.1}
The beast with two horns "causeth [commands] all, both small and great, rich and
poor, free and bond, to RECEIVE A MARK IN THEIR RIGHT HAND, OR IN THEIR
FOREHEADS: AND THAT NO MAN MIGHT BUY OR SELL, SAVE HE THAT HAD THE MARK,

The third angel's warning is: "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive
his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of
God." "The beast" mentioned in this message, whose worship is enforced by the twohorned beast, is the first, or leopardlike beast of Revelation 13 -- the papacy. The
"image to the beast" represents that form of apostate Protestantism which will be

In the last vision given me, I was shown the STARTLING FACT THAT BUT A SMALL PORTION OF
THOSE WHO NOW PROFESS THE TRUTH WILL BE SANCTIFIED BY IT AND BE SAVED. . . . The
humble, self-sacrificing followers of Jesus will pass on to perfection, leaving behind the

WHY DID DESMOND FORD & OTHERS BEGIN TO BELIEVE FALSE DOCTRINE?

among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines

Three Methods of Bible Study

The traditional Adventist interpretation of Daniel 8:14 was formulated on
the basis of what is commonly known as the proof-text method of biblical
study and interpretation, which construes Bible passages in terms of
what a modern reader thinks to be their import. This method (1) is highly
subjective, (2) understands the Bible from the modern reader's cultural,
historical, and salvation history perspectives, (3) accepts the Bible in
translation as authoritative, (4) makes the reader's personal and groupthink presuppositions normative for evaluating data and for (5) drawing
conclusions. This method does not require special training or experience,
and is followed by a majority of untutored Bible readers. Since the
beginning most Adventists have followed this method, but no reputable
Bible scholar follows it today.

Ted Heppenstall earned a BA degree at Emmanuel Missionary College(our

theology. Then he got a masters degree from the University of Michigan in
History and Semitics. While teaching a La Sierra College,(our school) he
earned a PhD degree in the field of Religious Education from the University of
Southern California in 1951. Heppenstall got his masters and PhD from
worldly schools and came back into our school. That worldly education
rendered him incapable of teaching the THE THREE ANGELS MESSAGE
IMPOSSIBLE!

think that they can introduce it into our schools, but let me tell you that YOU

10) WHAT DO ADVENTIST SCHOLARS SAY ABOUT THE BIBLE AND THE
ADVENTIST UNDERSTANDING OF DANIEL 8:14?
10a. FORD SUMMARY STATEMENT: Desmond Ford was a college teacher
for many years within the Adventist church. Here is a general statement
by him about Adventist scholarship and the supposed Investigative
Judgment of Daniel 8:14: Many Adventist scholars have long held that
Daniel 8:14 does not teach an Investigative Judgment. Their view was
rejected because it seem to contradict Ellen White. It is well nigh certain
that had Ellen White not endorsed the doctrine, it would have been
surrendered long ago. In practical terms, it has been surrendered.
Surrendered, not only by Adventist scholars in this country, but also
around the world, and by much of European Adventism. As a local
example, belief in 1844 and Investigative Judgment is not considered
mandatory for baptism in Germany.

Andreasens final generation theology. He opposed Andreasens form of

historic Adventism on such issues as the human nature of Christ and the
ATONEMENT. He emphasized, as did Questions on Doctrine, the atonement
on the cross with a continuing ministry in heaven in the antitypical Day of
Atonement. Beyond that, he stressed such teachings as the helplessness of
human beings to do good of their own selvesTRUE, justification by faith in
relation to the entire plan of salvation,--TRUE, then, this is where he messed
uphe stressed the impossibility of humanly achieving what some people
think of as sinless perfection. This is messed up because we can/MUST reach
perfection by the power of the INDWELLING CHRIST either before we die or
before the National Sunday Law. GOD CAN DO THIS FOR US IF WE ALLOW
HIM!

Heppenstalls theology was definitely a more cross-centered, Christcentered, evangelical form of theology. This plainly shows up in
Heppenstalls understanding of character perfection. Far from ideas of
sinlessness, perfectionism, the teaching that people must get to the
place where they can stand without Christ, and other ideas set forth by
Andreasen, he argued that nowhere does the Bible equate perfection
with sinlessness when speaking of the child of God. And that salvation
by grace means being shaken loose from the folly of implanting our ego
at the center of the plan of salvation with the belief that we must arrive
at sinless perfection to be sure of salvation.

humanity. The honor of God, the honor of Christ, is involved in the
perfection of the character of His people. . . . {OHC 154.3}

For thousands of years Satan has been experimenting upon the properties of

statement could indicate that the points Ford made are widely accepted.
Results from a survey taken before and after the Glacier View Sanctuary
Review Committee meeting indicate that between a fourth and a third of the
participants, including administrators, scholars and other religious leaders
AGREED WITH FORDS VIEWS.

these press passes, Brother Loewen was there from Religious Liberty, Brother Cottrell
from the Review and Herald. Brother Beach was there from northern Europe, and I

asking for a pass, you got it. If you were an editor or a correspondent for a real
newspaper, they gave the pass, and they gave them to people of all faiths. Here, four

I sat closer to the Pope than any of the cardinals. I was only forty feet
away from him for three of four hours, and I had the clearest views.

was affected. Vatican II was the turning point for the healing of the Beast of Revelation 13: 12. Out
of Vatican II, the New International Version (NIV) was birthed because Vatican II was about bringing
ALL RELIGIONS TOGETHER; therefore, a bible had to come into existence that ALL DENOMINATIONS
would use. A bible that would teach no doctrine and cover all boundaries. And this NIV bible was
interpreted from the VATICANUS, a catholic interpretation which tampers with the Plan of
Redemption! Read Heb 9:12 from the NIV and then from the KJV. The NIV says that after Jesus died,
He went to the MOST HOLY PLACEnot trueHe went to the HOLY PLACE. If Jesus went to the Holy

CELEBRATION and the degree of participation in it should be varied as much as possible, according
to the solemnity of the day and the nature of the congregation present...The participation (a)
Should be above all internal (b) Must be, on the other hand, EXTERNAL also, that is, such as to
show the internal participation by GESTURES and BODILY attitudes, by acclamations, responses
and singing."

The Vatican II Council issued recommendations on liturgy the singing, prayers, congregational
responses, and Scripture readings that make up a church service. These directives discussed ways
to incorporate the whole church community in the service, making them more involved in worship
procedures.
Churches were encouraged to shift away from traditional sermons that exhort and equip and
instead concentrate on the cursory reading of extracts from the Psalms and Gospels. They were
instructed to replace traditional hymns with popular music, modern musical instruments, and
physical movement of the congregation. Churches were also encouraged to adapt their styles of
worship to suit their cultures. The liturgical section of the Vatican II document, Volume 1, can be
summarized as follows:

1. Get the churches accustomed to celebration terminology and the celebration concept. Every
function of the church becomes a celebration.
2. Get the churches accustomed to a revitalized style of celebration service, encouraging a
reduction of inhibition which includes physical gestures, bodily attitudes and movement.
3. Set forth song and musical celebration services as the most effective celebrations.
4. Utilizing popular religious songs and relating music to the various cultures and the
temperaments of the people.
is there something wrong with sign language?
There's nothing wrong with it, if it's for the precious deaf people. But the way that many churches
use "signing" is as a performance; and this is a mockery to the deaf. We shouldn't use their means
of comminication as a form of entertainment. It's ashame, and doesn't make any sense. It's like
peaching in Latin where no one understands it.
