HISTORY & INTRODUCTION

GSFC is situated in kosamba near Mangrol
taluka in Surat district
GSFC means Gujarat State Fertilizer &
chemicals LTD.
GSFC was incorporated on 15th FEB , 1962.
The company manufacture chemicals fertilizers ,
petrochemicals & other products such as urea ,
ammonium , phosphate , sulphate , gas etc. &
nylonchips & melamine.

 The first phase of plants consisting of ammonia

sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid , urea, ammonium
sulphate & diammonium phosphate units were
commissioned 1972.
The company setup its own development & research
department in 1974 .
GSFC has two goals :
BASIC TO INDIAS PROGRESS
NOT TO ONLY SELLING FERTILIZERS BUT ALSO
OFFERING HAPPINESS

Weakness
Major raw materials are being imported and
there are limited suppliers world over yet
efforts are on to obtain consistent suppliers.
Being in existence for more than 50 years the
plant capacities were contemporary at that
time. However, they appear to be smaller in
the present context except in case of DAP
which contemporary capacity.
