ICON OF PENANG

Painted by a local
artist from Penang

side of the Penang 3D

the entrance.
It depicts things that
is famous in Penang
such as famous
landmarks and 2
Caucasian tourists
taking photos.
The ferry represents
how people travelled
back and forth the
Penang island before
the bridge is built.

seen blocking the ball
to prevent it from
going into the hoop
while the other player,
who is from the same
team, can be seen in

who played
from Lakers.
The second
player is Allen
Iverson who
played for the
other team
Philadelphia
76ers.

Both of the
players are
considered on
of the best in
basketball
and has
played in NBA
All Stars.

COMMUNICATION
It depicts two
famous
African
American
basketball
players
playing in
NBA teams.
Basketball is
not the most
popular sport
in Malaysia.
Little
popularity as
compared to
football and
badminton.

LOCATION: KLANG RIVER, KUALA


LUMPUR
Klang River is a river which flow through Kuala
Lumpur and Selangor in Malaysia and eventually flows into
the Straits of Malacca for 120 Km

MURAL ART AND WHAT IT


REPRESENTS
Our observation at Klang River:
The artists point of view on freedom, liberalism and the
idea of a free world represented through the art

Boy and Klang River


Although it looks simple, but
has different meaning on
how people perceive it.
Attracts tourist and
pedestrian who are nearby
Petaling Street, Central
Market and Pasar Seni LRT
station.
It relates to the place where
it illustrates Klang River's
Mural art.
It shows the characteristic of
the place in art

A Malay Boy in LRT

-Assuming that the boy is sad
as he is leaving from Klang
area.
-At the same time he is
looking at the mural art in
Klang River

1.Non-verbal Communication
From the picture above, we can see that the lady, who is wearing a
hat and gloves, is a bird lover. Here she is trying to communicate with
the birds around her through the smoke. From the love word that
she has created, she is telling the birds that she love them all.

2. Face-to-face communication
The lady and birds are facing to each others when the non-verbal
messages is senting out.

3. Non-verbal cue
The birds so comfort on her palm. It is a non verbal cue
communication.

4. Body posture
The lady hold the bird carefully on the her palm, her palm is
slightly open in order to not hurting the bird.

5. Symbolic Interaction
The lady had created a "love" word, it is a symbolic of her love to
the birds.

6. Connection Meaning
The lady and all the birds surrounded her, they were connected
in a lovely atmosphere.
