Discipleship

COME AND BE MY
DISCIPLE AND ILL
MAKE YOU A FISHERS
OF MEN.. - JESUS

Paul D. Watson
Contagious Disciple Making

Disciple making is a lifestyle,

not a job, which means it has
to become habit. And, we
form habits by doing small
things every day.

Mathew 28:19-20
Go & make

Disciples

Evangelism

New Converts

May Misyon ka!

Over two thousand years have passed since Jesus

Christ commanded His followers to go and make

disciples of all nations (Mt. 28:19).
By the end of 2011, there were more than
7 billion people living on planet earth, of which only
2 billion would identify themselves as Christians.
That means a staggering 70% of the worlds
population still has no connection to Christ and His
Church.

The Discipleship Process

Win (Evangelism)
Grow (Discipleship)
Train (Equipping)
Multiply (Multiplying)

OUR STRATEGY:
That you will be able to make disciples > who will

make disciples > who will make disciples > who will
make disciples! We call that having a 4 Generation
(4G) mindset. So the movement starts with you
and it grows.
2 Timothy 2:2 - "And the things you have heard me
say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to
reliable people who will also be qualified to teach
others." That's Paul > Timothy > Reliable People
>Others (that's an example of 4G movement)

WHAT'S YOUR PART?

Just start with your prayer list and relational network. And

then start sharing with ONE person or ONE group of people.

As soon as you are able to open a Life Group, the goal is to
help your members grow in their newfound faith in Jesus.
Eventually, through our Ikthus Discipleship Process, 2-3
leaders will emerge in your group and will want to do
what you are also doing... "Love God, Love People, Make
Disciples" and join Jesus in his rescue mission. When that
happens, your group will multiply!
Let's go! "Every believer is called to make disciples and
multiply."

Pray
Important TIPS and best practices on PRAYING:
1. You are saved to save others. You are changed to change others. Who are the

people in your life who's far from God or lost? Then write and list 20 names.
(Family, friends, relatives, classmates, neighbors, schoolmates, co-workers).
2. Then pick 3 names that you can start praying for everyday. People that you

can easily meet or talk to during the week. (Sila ang una mong aabutin from
the 20 people). After the 3 people, pick the next 3 for the following week.
3. What's important is that you pray for the 3 people daily. You will grow in

compassion for them and will have boldness to share the good news about
Jesus. Pray for opportunities to talk to them and that they will be open to hear
the gospel.

DO THIS! Quick Action Plan:

Take 10 minutes now and write 20 names in your

relational network who are lost?

From the 20 names, pick and circle 3 names. Take 5

minutes now and pray that they will be open for the
gospel and meet with you.

CARE
(You got to have a sense of urgency. 1 week is all you need here for every
person at kahit 1-2 personal meet-ups lang.)

1. Start to connect or re-connect with one of the three people from your list. Start

normal or casual conversations with them. Text, call, then MEET in person. (Kahit
hindi gospel topic sa simula.) Look for opportunities to show God's love and real
concern.

2. B.L.E.S.S - Be a good friend. Listen to them while they're talking. Eat

snacks, dinner, or coffee with them, Serve them in connection with their needs,
pain, problems. Share your story (testimony) and God's story (one verse).

3. Invite the 3 people in your current list to: Snacks, Spiritual Conversions,

Lifegroup, Aninag Session, Youth Event, Church Service, or Gospel Videos. My

best advice is to invite people to Jesus. Stay alert for chance to SHARE your story
and the gospel.

DO THIS! Quick Action Plan:

1. How can you begin caring and BLESSing the

3 people in your list? Write 2 specific ways now

(ex: Talk, tambay, eat, pasyal, etc.)
2. Schedule it now. When will you meet with

them? Write it down. Tapos, text them or call

them now about it.

Share
1. Give a gospel tract
2. ANINAG Conversations
3. My Miracle Story, 2-minute Testimony!
4. The Gospel or Jesus' Story or One Verse

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
1. Wag matagalan sa WIN stage (Pray-Care-Share). You can learn everything about

the WIN stage and prepare in just 1-3 days in your free time schedule. So, hindi
weeks or months, just 1-3 days lang preparation and practice eh magagawa mo na
lahat!
2. Practice until you master ONE VERSE method at first. Practice habang nasa CR,

or while traveling/commuting, or habang naghihintay sa pila or set aside time to

study WIN stage. Learn so that you can also train and teach this to others.
3. Even after you finish sharing the gospel to all 20 people, you don't stop. You list

another 20 names, pray for them, and then look for opportunities to serve and
share Jesus story to them. We will do WIN tasks every week for the rest of our
lives!
4. It is not your job to convince and force people to accept Jesus. Wag masaktan sa

rejections. Our job is to only share, do our best, then we trust and leave the results
to God. Jesus promised to be with while we go and make disciples.

After They Accept Christ

ITO ANG PINAKA-IMPORTANTE SA PROCESS NATIN!

This part only means to immediately "follow up" the

new believer. Within 48 hours to 1 week, dapat

makausap mo kagad ang mga bagong believers. Or
else they will be target of discourgement and doubts
by the ENEMY.

Kaya let's fight and protect them this time.

STEP 1: Congratulate them again, that they're are

a child of God. (John 1:12)

STEP 2: Read "4 Spiritual Laws" booklet together

from cover to cover (30-45 minutes).

STEP 3: Tell them "NexGen Campus Ministry"

Vision and Mission. Invite them to do "7

Experiences with Jesus".

GROW (Discipleship and Follow-up Strategies) Col 2:6(Life group, Awakening retreat, Victorious life)
A Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is an effective process
for multiplying disciples who make disciples. It takes
people from not knowing God to falling in love with
Jesus. Later, the same process is used to master any
topic in the Bible.
This is good because we allow people to discover faith,
life, and God on their own. The Discovery Bible Study is
not preaching or teaching, but a Bible study discussion.
This means that Scripture is the authority for the
group.

Remember

Do NOT teach or preach! Just

ask questions and listen. Allow

the Lord to speak and move in
their hearts. Be interested to
them and their answer. Show
that you care and understand.

The Group Questions:

1. Ask: What are you thankful for this week?

(Ano ang pinagpapasalamat mo ngayong linggo?)

2. Ask: What has stressed you out this week? What

do you need for things to be better

(Ano ang mga nakaka-stress sayo ngayong week?
Ano ang kailangan mo para maging OK ang
sitwasyon?)

This process is repeated every week until the group

become Followers of Jesus and Disciples in

obedience to the Word, which will include water
baptism.
Pagaralan mo bawat bullet point. Mahalaga lahat
yan. Strive to be better every week.
Ang sikreto lang din ay ang pagmamahal mo sa
group mo at bawat members. Ask the Lord na
magoverflow sayo ang LOVE nya.

READ THE NEW LESSON: then ask questions...

3. Ask: What does this passage teach us about God or Jesus?

(Ano ang itinuturo ng ating binasa tungkol sa kay Hesus?)

4. Ask: What does this passage teach us about humanity or people?

(Ano ang itinuturo ng ating binasa tungkol sa mga tao or mga characters?)
5. Ask: How can you relate or connect this to your life?

(Pano ka nakaka-relate sa story? Pano mo mai-co-connect ito sa buhay mo?)

6. Ask: If we believe this passage is from God, how must we change?

(Dahil ito ay salita ng Diyos, ano ang babaguhin mo sa buhay mo?)

(OPTIONAL) 7. Ask: Who are you going to share this passage with before

we meet again?
(Kanino mo iku-kwento itong story bago tayo magkita-kita ulit next week?)
