Phileas Fogg and Jean Passepartout had encountered several
problems during their journey around the world in 80 days.
As Phileas Fogg were determined to complete the journey, Phileas
Fogg and his butler, Jean Passepartout did a few things in order to
overcome the problems.
Here are a few problems that they had encountered.

PIT STOP 1

Phileas Fogg and Sir Francis Cromarty

meet for the first time on the train.
They are heading to Calcutta.

Phileas Fogg, Jean Passepartout and

when the train suddenly stops.

The workers explain to them that the

railroad is incomplete. They have to
find other ways to go to Calcutta.

Passepartout has an idea. He

suggests that they ride on an
elephant to continue their journey.

When they arrive at Calcutta station,

errands. Suddenly a policeman comes and

the courtroom as the charge is against him.

PHILEAS PAYS FOR THE BAIL TO RELEASE PASSEPARTOUT
HE SPENDS 2000 POUNDS FOR THE BAIL

PIT STOP 3

Phileas Fogg tries to find a ship to

Liverpool. He soon finds Henrietta.

He meets the captain of the ship, Captain

Speedy. He does not want to take any
passenger. However, when Phileas Fogg

The sea is rough due to bad weather.

Therefore, they bring down the sail and
use the engine.

Suddenly one of the crew explains that they

are out of coal. Phileas tries to overcome the
problem by burning parts of the ship. Captain
