To “Comperative Study between UPCL & BPCL Lubricants


for their Customer’s satisfaction”.

1.To study the lubricant product of UPCL & BPCL in Agra


region.

2.To know the level of customer satisfaction of the both


companies.

3. To know perception of retailers for the parent company


in term of customer satisfaction.

METHODOLOGY
Descriptive Research: This type of research
seeks to discover new relationships.

It is concerned with discussing the general nature


of the problem and the variable that relate to it.

 The given project is based on Descriptive


Research, the objectives being to study the
Retailers perception towards distribution and
sales promotion policies.
Sampling Design: Non Probability (Convenience)
Sampling Unit:
The various retailers of UPCL & BPCL were taken as
sampling unit.
The whole area of Agra region was taken as the
universe.
Sample size:
The survey include nearly all lubricant’s retailer in
Agra region, which constitutes to 100 retailers.
METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION:

There are two sources of data collection-


•Primary data: - The primary data are those which are collected
afresh and for the first time, and thus happen to be original in
character. Sources of Primary Data are-
i.Questionnaires
ii.Personal Interview.
iii.Informal talking, etc.

•Secondary data: - The secondary data are those data which have
already been collected by someone else and which have already been
passed away through the statistical process. Sources of Secondary
Data are-
•Office records and files.
•Various documents
•Biography
 the retailers need and expectation levels regarding products and
ascertainable levels of satisfaction In which it is observed that
there are lesser problems with the BPCL in respect to the
UPCL products.

 It was observed that the products of BPCL are comparatively


higher than the products of the UPCL.

 It was observed that the advertising of BPCL is at a very wide


scope in respect to the advertising of UPCL.

 It was obseved that the customers of BPCL are more satisfied


than UPCL.

 
Interpretation
It is found that the retailers who are not ready to
keep UPCL products at their outlet gave reason for
the same as bad service and poor margin as
compare to BPCL.

It is interpreted by the research that mostly retailers


want products on credit basis.
CONCLUSION
 
A survey of the people has been conducted to know the market
position of the BPCL and UPCL. It is observed that retailers like to
buy products of BPCL rather than UPCL.
 
Every thing in this world is made to utilize properly but it should
be reach at the proper person or to the proper utilized areas.
Otherwise the value added to those things became in vein.
 
As there is a proverb that,
 
“far from eye, far from heart”
 
Recommendation
Companies should concentrate more on advertisement and
promotional activities.

For promotional offers, companies should go for free gifts and


coupons and other scheme. The BPCL is having the wider
range of the promotional schemes and the UPCL is having
lesser so it is suggested to UPCL to do it in better way.

People are unsatisfied with the prices of the BPCL which is


comparatively higher than UPCL products. He should
concentrate in this regard also.
