COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is an introduction to principles,
philosophy, tools and application of quality
management. The course discusses the
theories, methods and practices that will
effectively and efficiently helps the
organization to be more productive and
dynamic.
The
concept
of
quality
management from the perspective of
customers and product/service organization
thru improvement, performance excellence
and productivity are among the highlights.

Course Aims
The main aims of the course are:
Define the concepts, practices and importance, characteristics and
theories of quality management.
Identify different process, analysis and improvements related to
quality management.
Prepare quality management activities that will enhance improvement
and productivity.
Explain the importance of various tools and methods used in quality
management.
Examine the contribution of quality management to the organization
and industry.
Demonstrate creativity and innovative in providing solution and result.
Competence Autonomy & Responsibility
Design a quality management programs and improvement system
Compare companies quality management policies and procedures.
Critically assess various tools that will enhance quality management
and improvement. Role in Context
Integrate quality management and good practice in the workplace.

Course Outcome
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will
be able to:
Identify the major concepts and theories related to quality
management and quality assurance
Outline the implementation of quality management and
differentiate between quality assurance and quality
improvement
Perform with high standards quality techniques in the
measurement of quality management and distinguish
between the strengths and limitations of a range of a
approaches to quality management
Implement strategic quality management and total quality
management for organization change and transformation
