PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION

Attendance Management System:

is a user-friendly, flexible and full featured
employee attendance management tool
which
allows
controlling
employees
attendance by automating timekeeping
and attendance tracking.
captures
data
from
Time
and
Attendance
Terminals,
and
simultaneously allows optional PC entry.

FINGERPRINT
MODULE

FINGERPRINT MODULE
Fingerprint module is used to scan the
finger and convert in to an image file and
then a character file.

The data is given to microcontroller to

read and recognized/matched to the
database.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Fingerprint
parts:

processing

includes

two

Fingerprint
enrolment
and
fingerprint
matching (the matching can be 1:1 or 1:N)
While enrolling the user has to place his
finger twice on module
The device generates a template using
these images, the template can be stored in
library

The user has to place his finger again and

generate template.
The template is compared with all the
templates in library.
The system returns the result of success or
failure.

MICROCONTROLLE
R

MICROCONTROLLER
The arduino uno microcontroller
board based on ATmega328.
Arduino is an open-source electronics
platform.

PIN-DIAGRAM

Input and Output:

There are 14 pins on uno which can be
used as input or output using the functions
pinMode(), digitalRead() and digitalWrite().
The operating voltage is 5v and each pin
receive or provide a max. Of 40mA.
They have an internal pull-up resistors
(disconnected by default) of 20-50KOhms

Communication:
The ATmega328 provides UART TTL 5V
serial communication.
Which is available on digital pins 0(Rx) and
1(Tx)

FLOW CHART

Main Functionality
Provides possibility to see employees
current IN/OUT status.
Enables automat execution of some very
important tasks, such as:
Generating, saving
and automatically
sending reports
by e-mail
Receiving data from
devices

Key Features
All transactions committed by the devices
are being stored in Log files.
Devices have different Security Levels
thus ensuring that only authorized
persons can delete transactions from
them, enroll new employees or change
settings.
ONE device is enough for both IN and
OUT punches.

Key Features
Is a CLIENT/SERVER system
Can be accessed also via INTERNET
Has USER-FRIENDLY interface
Supports UNLIMITED number of
users, policies, shifts, divisions,
departments and other objects

TIME AND ATTENDANCE

TERMINALS
Attendance Management System
is designed to work with 4 types of
Time and Attendance Terminals:

Card Readers
Fingerprint Readers
Biometric Hand Readers
Face Readers

Connection Types
Devices can be connected to the
computer by any of the following 4
types of connection:

COM Port
Local Area Network (LAN)
USB Port
Modem (only for Biometric
Hand Readers)

Connection Types
If connection to the computer is not
possible, then transactions data can be
transferred from devices to computer
also via USB Flash.
