Image: My mid-shot image of µDawggy¶ is
the main importance as the magazine is to
do with him and his genre of music. Having
a large picture and then a smaller picture of
the artist reinforces the relevance to the
audience. I have placed the main picture in
the centre of the page and another just to
the left. The two are very similar signifying
there importance in the magazine.

font to use which would catch the
readers eye and would want to buy the
magazine. The font name was called
µSharper¶ and I think the name brings
out the best in the way its presented.
The name also goes with my magazine
genre as I wanted it to look as
attractive and bold as I could. I also
think it goes with the genre of the
magazine.

Another promotion I have stated on the front
cover of the magazine is a device to attract the
audience to want to buy the magazine even
more. I have added a mix tape which is included
free when the magazine is purchased. I have
done this so it makes the audience want to buy
the magazine even more.
the magazine.
The smaller picture bleeds off the page and this could
à represent how he reels off onto the next page and into
the rest of the magazine.
Younger people with not necessarily a very high income but
allows them to purchase this magazine once every two weeks (£1.50). They are
also likely to buy this genres latest CD¶s and a couple of gig tickets every year. The
magazine is for both a male and female audience as it is relevant to both genres
who specifically enjoy listening to this type of music. I think the age for this genre
would be around 15-35, and for social groups of C2 and D. This includes skilled
working class people and working class people.
An even younger audience, who are either students or learning a
trade. This audience would be more up together with the latest artists but wouldn¶t
necessarily have the income to buy gig tickets or latest CD¶s. I think this would be one of the
main audiences and are extremely important to the magazine and the genre. This would be a
social group E which would be those at the lowest level of subsistence.
Photoshop: Over the course of the year I have struggled with this software and I find it hard editing
photos and getting used to the toolbars. I have improved since the start of the year as I have got
used to some of the toolbars but as it is quite a complex piece of software, I still haven¶t quite
mastered it.
Photography: I thought the pictures I took for my music magazine were very professional and
staged them very well. This was a bit of a down factor on my student magazine so I specifically
made sure I got some good photos for my music. I think some of the photos I did take could be on
a professional magazine for this genre.
Blogger: As I had never used this website before I thought I coped quite well and uploaded most of
my work by using Scribd as well. I used this website effectively and it allowed my teacher and I to
have a copy of all of my work where he can look at it anytime.

Scanning: when I first started this course I wouldn¶t know how to use a scanner, whereas now I am
fairly comfortable using one. This has help me both when I needed to upload sketches to my Blog
and when I needed to upload pieces of work to my memory stick.
